    I have nothing good to say about my experience using the GEEK Squad to repair my computer. I had to purchase a $200.00 contract (1 year of service for 3 computers...which I don't have) before my computer was accepted for repair. Their time estimate for repair was almost a week late, and my computer is now in worse shape than it was when I took it in for service. I would not refer anyone to use the GEEK Squad.

    I called to set up appointment to have my old files transfer to my new pc. The geek squad rep never told me what location i had to go to have the files transfer and what I needed to bring besides the computers. Plus, she assumed that I knew the cost of these services because she never told me so I assumed and i was also told that file transfer from one computer to another cost extra $ and it not part of the protection services. I think for paying what you pay for this, the geek squads techs should come to your house. I only recommend this because it's still good to have protection plan on your computer

    I'm wondering what I paid for... If all they could do for me was give me the Apple helpline number and let me spend an hour on the phone to try to fix it myself.

    went in with laptop with a virus on it. Was told I would have to by the geek squad service for at least one year at a cost of 199.99. when I went to pick up the computer 2 days late they tried to charge me again. It seem like a lot of money to fix a problem when I bought the anti-virus when I bought the laptop from best buy and that it didn't work.

    Paid for a service plan so they would look at a desktop computer. After 1 week, they had not even looked at it. After 10 days (and a complaint to the store manager on duty), they told us we had to buy a new hard drive and bring it to them for installation, so we did. After another 4 days, they admitted the could not get the new HDD to work in the computer. Total waste of our time and our money.

    Turns out I knew more about software compatibility than the Geek Squad guru. I should have charged them for services rendered instead of the opposite. Diagnostic services took 3 days due to an internet outage/personnel shortage, and if it wasn't for my suggestion of using their wifi to gain access, my computer would probably still be there. Store manager wasn't much help and claimed ignorance because of an 8 day vacation! Only use them if there is no other game in town!

    my pc was reviewed for virus. my pc has still been malfunctioning, I now have to bring it back for further investigation

    store service is mediocre and the phone support is terrible they didnt know how to help me with my new mac.... i almost returned it i had to call apple

    they do not fix the original problem and do as little as possible on the pc. they did not even clean their oily prints off the pc when it was returned.

    I purchased a new laptop that would not start up properly when I received it new in the box. The geeks told me I must have purchased a refurbished item or I damaged it. They took it in and found a problem with the devices operating system. They told me I could pay them to repair it but there was no manufacturer warranty. The geeks and the store would not replace the device. I returned the device and returned the geek enrollment and will have to shop elsewhere.

    Actual T'3s are knowledgable but getting to them - is terrible. It took 6 hours for me to reach a T'3 who could help with reinstalling my HP mouse drivers on my new HP Envoy i7. The intake personel are clueless, more wait for the screening tech, now to the next tech and more wait. The other system I use is MAC and they never have kept me waiting like this through their support.

    The Geek Squad was very poor in updating us. There is no leadership with the crew. The value is overpriced for the terrible service we received.

    From what I could tell the screen on my PC laptop had stopped working and so I took it in to the geek squad. I was charged over $200.00 bucks so they could tell me the same thing. That's a little steep price in my opinion and on top of that I would have had to buy another screen from the manufacturer to have best buy replace it...so I would've had to do the leg work as well...so what was the $200 for??? I was very unhappy with the service and price.

    had to call geek squad at least 10 tines, was cut off 3 times. Finally had to bring it to store and waited on line about 30 minutes, Got home and same problems came up. I then returned the computer. Did not get refund on Geek squad, which I no longer need as I no longer have computer. Shopped around and purchased a windows 7 Needless to say I am very dissapointed with Best Buy

    I choose Geek Squad because I had no where else to go. Out of two computers they fixed one and told me the other had hardware issues. I handed them another computer and I'm waiting for results.

    Not very impressed with the service...took 2 weeks to fix the virus problem,,, but the stress to recover the programs and data took me 2 weeks for the business accounts and still in the process to recover the irrigation programing for the business has taken 5 weeks and still counting, I've discovered from another computer tech that the programs could have been saved while eliminating the virus:(... very disappointed with the results,

    I purchased geek squad support & warranty. Over the phone, geek squad would not answer questions re: Windows 8 because it was considered training. Asstance w/new computer is training - not happy with Best Buy right now! Now new laptop crashed after 6 weeks and new hard drive needed - hoping Best Buy makes good of this situation that has gone terribly bad.
