The product is not what the sales rep claimed it to be at all. I took my computer in for some help within 2 weeks after purchase and found that everything I needed additional help with was not covered at cost extra.
I will not buy this type of product from Best Buy again.

my first time using the service ended in an hour long wait just to simply pick up my laptop, I had to leave and come back a second time and only received a distracted apology from the manager.
I would recommend this to a friend

..I was told that they would try to save my data. They erase it and did not try to save it for $200! I took to a individual who restored most of the in minutes and only charged me $25.

I needed a modem driver to reinstall OS (wimdows). Your agent
told me to go get it from Dell. I did and Dell restored my system.
I think you should have had the driver I needed.

very hard to connect with the agent. wait for so long and it kick me out of the screen telling me out of connection. pay so much price for the protection plan but did not get a good service. even getting a live person was so hard.

I brought computer in on 1.10.2013 and it was working except for some issues which they were going to fix etc. HERE it is 2.9.2013 and I dont' have my computer back. :) Dick

I called for assistance and was told that they would charge me an additional $270 for the help I requested. When I asked what was covered I was told the coverage was only for software. I then canceled my subscription..

not at all thorough. left dust bunnies on pc, didn't remove programs, changed my desk top, when i called to register a complaint with the manager, he was cordial, but resolve to fix my problem. he wanted me to fix it.

I paid 100.00 extra to get advise from Geek Squad if needed and they NEVER got back to me with my email question and when I tried to chat online it WON'T load! What a waste of money!!!!! I think they blocked me!

Win8 new laptop, seems Offline Folders Sync is no longer working, Geek Squad didn't even know about mapped network drives or Offline Folders. Waste of money.

I would not recommend getting geek support. When I called, they can't help with any data info. Everything is an additional cost. Calls take a long time.

Computer freezes. Geek squad has had two tries at correcting, still freezes. Will have one try will more try, if not corrected will ask for refund.

it has taken over a mnth to correct mistake, customer service has been atrocious , to get what I wanted moved from 3 days to five ays to thirty days still haven't heard from geek squad...
