I just had to tell everyone what a great experience I had with the Geek Squad and the customer service department. . I purchased a laptop for my wife before Christmas. It has been nothing but trouble. Don't want to bash the brand. It was just a lemon. It happens. So I went to Best Buy to see if I could return it and purchase another laptop for her. Here's where it begins. I being me of course had lost the receipt. I paid cash for it so I had absolutely no proof of purchase. So off to the Best Buy on Chenal Parkway in Little Rock,Ar. I go. I first explained my predicament to the customer service agent. She asked for my name and phone number and somehow she found the receipt. She printed in for me and asked me to talk to someone with the Geek Squad and se if they could fix it. That's when I met Jacob. A very articulate young man that seemed to genuinely care. It was a problem with the fan ? I'm not sure what that is or does but was concerned that something went bad on a laptop that had light use and had only owned since December. He understood and spoke with his supervisor to see what they could do. Seems they don't normally recommend refunds but thought they might could make an exception in this case. He came back and said his manager authorized a refund. Wow. I didn't even have to fight for it. These guys were taking care of their customer. I found that so refreshing in this day and time of poor service in abundance. So, I immediately picked out a more expensive laptop, took it and my refund receipt to customer service and walked out a very happy and loyal customer. It worked out better for Best Buy as I spent more money on this laptop. A real win-win. I'm telling everyone I know about my awesome experience with Best Buy and am a loyal customer for life. Thanks Jacob for showing me that customer service isn't a completely lost art.

Geek Squad Exceeded Expectations!

I pride myself in DIY for all my PC Tech needs. For the first time I took my Dell I5 17" Laptop that the HDD failed and I was attempting to replace with a SSD. Purchased my SSD elsewhere but could not get the BIOS to recognize the Dell listed SSD? The Technician"Josh" listened intently to my problem and invited his fellow Sr Technician into the conversation.
After about 20 minutes, they had devised a plan of action and I left the PC in their capable hands. About an hour passed and I received a phone call stating the new SSD I had installed was DOA and they recommended using a different SSD available their at Best Buy. The Dell PC Bios recognized the Best Buy SSD immediately and now I am able to go forward with installing the OS.
I spent many hours trying to determine a solution before taking my PC to the Geek Squad at Murrieta Best Buy, but within minutes they had a cost effective solution and it wasn't 2 days it was more like 2 hours! Great Job guys! Will definitely recommend to anyone with PC troubles!
