    The geek squad who set my 60" TV up with components were AWESOME! I was worried about getting the value for what I spent onit but am happy to report the money spent was a good investsment. It saved me hours of frustration and a serious headache running those wires. the two men were friendly and knew what they were doing. The remote set up was smooth and now I can operate everything from my Harmony remote. I want to THANBK the men who came into my home today and strongly recommend this service to anyone and everyone.

    Having just used the Geek squad for the first time after buying this laptop, I appreciated their expertise. However, I was confused by talking to at least 1 person before getting to the actual Geek expert who would help me with my problem. Then the wait to get to the expert was an additional 30 minutes plus.

    THE GEEK SQUAD AGENTS ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS WHEN THEY ARE HELPING YOU. THEY EXPLAIN THINGS TO YOU AND THEY REALLY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING..I HAVE USE THEM ONLY ONCE SO FAR AND I WAS VERY IMPRESS ON HOW GOOD THE AGENT WAS WITH ME...HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT MY PROBLEM WAS AND HE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO HELP ME OVER THE PHONE..HE IMMEDIATELY REMOTE INTO MY COMPUTER AND FIX MY ISSUE AND ALSO CLEAN UP MY SYSTEM SO MY COMPUTER WAS ABLE TO SPEED UP ITS PROCESS. EXCELLENT SERVICE!!!!!! LOVE THEM!!!!

    Well, how else can I say this... Or should I say what else is there to say besides, it's Geek Squad!! They are the best when it comes to doing what ever it takes to figure out how to fix what ever problem you are having. Just drop it off at the desk, or even sometimes just do your shopping while they take care of your troubles. Of course you would also want to make sure that they have time to take care of you, simply just by giving them a quick call to see when the best time is to drop it off

    The agents were very helpful in setting up my new computer and getting the viruses off of my old one. They were very patient with my questions and thorough in their evaluation. I was called when it was ready as well. The only problem was a sudden new system for setting up a pick-up time. I was told I could come and pick it up then told when there I had to call to arrange a pick up time, Thankfully they made an exception because I was told I could get it then. Otherwise the service was great!

    I purchased the Geek Squad Tech Support for a year. Already it has paid off! I couldn't get my printer to connect after spending hours. I made one phone call. The Tech was able to access my computer remotely, fix the problem, and explain how to use the printer (I didn't purchase it from BestBuy!). He was awesome. He even made sure I didn't have any additional issues. I would definitely recommend this for everyone, especially those like me who consider themselves a computer illiterate.

    No idea what I should say here, the only contact I had with the Geek squad was the night I purchased my computer -- had a question and they routed me around and told my I would have to pay to get my answer, needless to say, I was a little angry when I had just purchsed the whole bundle ----

    Also when I signed up I wasn't asked for my reward point number nor did I get any. when I was in the store I was told (just on line and get them) Ha what a joke! When I had repairs don't, As I was BEING CHARGED, I ask agin about the reward points but was tiold I had to go on Line to get them,Ha Ha ! I tolk my new computer in to have the info. on my harddrive transfered agin beinning chagred $85 for this to be done, when I picked it up and was paying, I ask About the reward points and agin was told to go on line to get them. ANOTHER JOKE !!

    I have returned to the store and made many calls trying to learn the Windows 8 and this new laptop. I was always treated with lots of kindness and understanding that I am learning this laptop. I don't feel stranded with something I can't use or understand. This was some of my best spent money

    I first and foremost have to say that I love Geeks squad services, the technical support plan and the Geek squad protection plans are like no other. Simply put where else do you get 24/7 365 phone support, in store support replacement part no lemon policy and there is a whole bunch more to offer. I really urge anyone who shops at best buy to head over to the geek squad counter and ask about there services it can save you money in the long run. Excellent Job with this service.

    Over rated and over priced

    Somehow a virus got past my protection software and it slowly destroyed the OS. I had purchased the coverage on my PC so I took it in following an hour long discussion with the Geek Squad telephone help. The remote service tried to log into my computer via network and were unsuccessful in isolating the problem. I took the computer into the store and they asked for an additional $200 for "software" coverage for the computer. I thought that had been included in the original contract. They kept the computer for a week and reimaged the machine which removed all of my applications including Office which I had purchased at Best Buy origianlly. Fortunately I had a full back up on Mozy. I was asked if I wanted Geek Sqaud to back up the data (not the applications) for an additional $180 which was declined. This is my business machine so my business was down for 7 days and it took the better part of another week to get my applications reloaded. This all could have been done by the local "Computer Guy" in less that 48 hours with everything restored for $150 to $250 about half the price of the two contracts with Geek Squad. Then after getting the computer back, there are things on it that were not there previously and it crashes at lease once per week which did not happen once in the prior 18 months. Will not recommend.

    BB couldn't 'find' me in their system. Took 2 weeks to get my account coverage straightened out, while computer sat on shelf needing work. Took another 2 weeks to get it repaired. After new mother board and virus cleaning, it runs great, now. Very happy with GEEK SQUAD techs. Not so happy with Best Buy bookkeeping.

    Geek squad is helpful for the helpless in computer tech. But some thime they get a bit carried away. My files were not all transferred properly. Needed to go back for more help twice and still some files did not operate properly. Needed to repurchase and recreate loss data.

    I think anyone who is tech challenged should sign up for this deal. It is certainly reasonable and allows you to take your computers to your local Best Buy for problem solutions rather than talking to someone halfway across the globe and still not understanding what to do.

    Never used the Geek Squad before, but glad I got the service with the new computer. They recovered documents from my old computer and put them on the new one. Also installed the new programs and explained the new computer to me. Especially Windows 8 as I had been using and old operating system for years.

    I have dealt with 3 tech agents. They are all good but one is very good. Seems to know exactly what he is talking about but talks real fast. I am glad that I can connect with them directly without going through the 1800 number. That one takes a long time. However, if you call late night or Sunday morning, it will take you more than an hour for your call to get picked up. Learned my lesson from that and never called again at midnight or Sunday morning.

    I have always purchased a Geek Squard Tech Support membership. It is the smartest thing I ever have done for myself and my family for all of their computers. If something breaks down you just bring it in, they let you know if it will take a day or they have to send it out. You get updates of where the tech squad is with your computer and when it arrives back in the store, you get an e-mail and a phone call to come pick it up. A big thumbs up Best Buy.

    We had the geek squad set up our computer, router, helped with the T.V. Our geek person worked with us, showed us what the computer would do. Did all the installations. Had a whole new set up in a couple of hours one afternoon. I had some trouble with sending emails after I had the computer a couple of weeks. Called the geek squad they worked with me over the phone, fixed the problem and improved what I already had. Really appreciate this service.

    I bought the protection of the Geek Squad and although I had to make a return trip back to the store after purchasing the computer, I was pleasantly surprised that it was done well before the sales clerk told me it would be ready. The Geek Squad is fast and efficient.

    I bought this because I knew having a newer operating system(windows 8) that there was going to be problems. I was right i have had my computer for about 3 months and the updates keep messing with the computer. Having geek squad support they fixed the problem for me.
