    I recommend the Geek Squad if you are not that familiar with all of the new technology. They can save a lot of time and avoid frustration.

    At our store there are too many long waits to talk to Geek Squad member. I was disappointed when I picked up my Mac that the GS member knew very little about Macs. I had paid for Walk Out Working.

    OK had to buy to get my computer fixed

    Over all a good product. Now I can have my other "old" computer looked at. I really didn't want the expense but I had to purchase this just to have my computer "looked at". It was brand new!

    Unresponsive; excessive delays

    Purchased Geek Squad tech support when I brought my PC in to have a bad hard drive replaced. I was initially told repairs would be completed in 1-2 weeks. It's been over a month and still no estimated date for repair completion. It's difficult to get through by phone for status due to being placed on hold for several minutes after going through the menu to get to the Geek Squad. I've been told 3 times in the last two weeks that it was being "worked on" and someone would contact me when work was complete in "a couple of days". Once, I was promised a call back in "10 minutes" and after 3 days went by I had to check again on my own. Once this is complete I would not even return for the services that are included in the tech support because I have no faith that the work would be completed in a timely fashion. I would rather pay a local service vendor than go here for service I've already paid for.

    It's good to be able to take any computer to them once you purchse this plan although I really did not need the plan--It is pricey.

    Terrible Experience with Geek Squad!

    I was having trboule with my computer and I signed up for the Geek Squad Service Plan which was 100.00 innital charge and 10.00 a month for ongoing service. The Tech Support could not solve the problem online and told me to go to a local Best Buy which I did. As you know, it is a pain in the neck to take down your system and move it. I went to Levitown Best Buy and left my computer with them. I came back two days later and was told my problem was solved. When I got home, I found it was not. The exact same issue I told them was still occuring. So, I called the Geek Squad Tech Support Plan and expressed my anger. I was put through to someone they call the Public Defender. He was very sympathetic and told he would call me back in an hour. That was five days ago and several messeges. He never called. In the meantime I accidently found a service called Teesupport. They rather quickly online fixed my problem. I then called to have my Geek Squad Plan money cancelled and refunded. After being on hold I was disconnected and had to start over. Now, I hope it has been cancelled and my money returned. What a bad experience.
