    Great support system. Buying the Geek Squad Support lets me take any of my computers in for repair, only paying for parts.

    Never Got the Help I Needed

    It is unfortunate both that I have to give this review, and that it will probably be dismissed by most readers because it deviates so much from other reviews. For a fee-charge service, I waited on the phone for far too long. Once I got through to a technician, she was unable to offer any help in solving my Outlook vs. iCloud conflict problems. She was very good at repeating the problem, but that was about it. She offered to bump me up to a higher level of expertise, but cautioned there would be another 30 minute wait. Otherwise, I could bring my problem to the store and start over. Also, the web-based support site kept telling me to disable my pop-up blocker, which I had done long ago in both Control Panel and in my browser. She also had no clue what to do about that. Needless to say, I canceled my contract and got my money back.

    Geek Squad doesn't know what it's doing...

    Geek Squad had my laptop for 5 days. Said I needed new hard drive & to transfer info to new hard drive would cost $85. When I went to pick it up, old info was not transferred (nobody told me it wasn't) and I would have been charged if I didn't check. Then they told me it would cost $250 to send old hard drive to the "lab" to be transferred. I declined & got a credit for the $85. When I used the laptop for a couple of days a screen kept popping up saying something was wrong. When I called & said I wanted someone at my home - at no add'l charge - I was told they couldn't do that. After a lengthy conversation with store manager I was offered a $20 credit & told I probably needed a new motherboard. Why didn't they know that during the 5 days they were fixing the laptop? Of course a motherboard is another charge. I now have the $200 "service contract" in dispute. I will certainly never use the Geek Squad again.

    Worst service i have ever experienced anywhere!!! The overall incompetence of the geek squad staff in Las Cruces, NM is staggering!! I have had this tech support for only three months and i would rather be without a computer than have to come back in and deal with the people in BEST BUY!!! My paperwork was lost on my last visit and due to its loss the geek squad would not return my computer to me!!! When i receive calls from the geek squad it is always a person who does not know anything about computers. I spend thirty minutes on and off hold because every question i ask has to be handed over to another specialist who knows less than the first individual!!!! Customer service is terrible! I recommend to anyone who is thinking of trying this service to THINK AGAIN!!! its a huge waste of $200. I am so unimpressed i will never return for their help!!!!! geek squad is terrible in LAS CRUCES, NM!!!!!

    A lot of money for a lot of confusion

    The two calls I have made to Geek Squad as well as trying for online chat have resulted in no solid answer to issue I was having. Still hopeful that this will be worth the money but the two times I have attempted it I have either had someone respond who seemed very confused or another instance where someone clearly thought they had better things to do. not a good buy for the customer service I have received so far.
