I've tried to use my Geek Squad support several times. It has always been an exercise in frustration. The wait times are outrageous. Today it's been about 2 hours after talking with someone just to get put in the queue. Still no response. The two times I've actually gotten through to a technician were wastes of time. Neither knew how to fix the problem, just how to reset every possible setting on the machine to where I had to call in again to try and get back to zero. Really just a frustrating waste of time. Don't waste your money.

tech was rude and impatient also suggest that training was not his responsibility and also suggested that I go to windows 7. I have since learned windows 8 is so new that they are frustrated too. I they can not be counted on what good are they. Also have had them take over the computer twice and they put on what they thought should go on.

Wireless Networking Problem

I had a problem that was introduced when my router was changed. The agent who commenced a session where he took control of my machine was clueless on how to resolve the problem and in fact made some changes to my system that caused additional connection problems. This necessitated doing a restore. Not a good experience.

After buying a new IPad I requested help to transfer my email contacts from my PC to my new IPad. Five Geek people later, and 2 hours later no one could get the job done. The last guy told me to go home and call the 800 number for the Geek squad and that they would "walk me through it". Since I had my computer and my IPad with me at Best Buy I felt that I had paid $120 for nothing. I left totally frustrated and angry. I went home and spent another 2 hours and figured it out myself. So, why did I pay $120 for the Geek squad "expertise?"

Sales rep sales you one thing, when you have problems and go to get it replaced, Geek Squad doesn't honor what was sold to you. Oh but they do offer you a $50 gift card for your time. Well when you are out 600 for a iPhone that is a slap in the face. Not to mention how rude the store manager was with you. Just make it right. you would think no publicity would be better than bad publicity. Guess I just don't understand the logic here.

I bought the plan and am pleased with it over all. However I took my tower in to be serviced. It had numerous issue's as it is old. They fixed what I asked, but did not do anything past that. I still have three anti-virus programs on it and it is still giving me memory issue messages.

I purchased a computer and decided to get tech support along with it. The tech support and accident protection ended up doubling my computer's price. The computer would not charge and from day one had issues. I brought it in, no joke, 6 different times trying to get the issues fixed. Each time i was told the same thing, "go home and try this." Completely useless and not worth the money. I ended up returning the computer for a complete refund and took my business elsewhere. Don't even bother.

I had a "tech" come and do a free consult and hook

this "tech" came out and could not figure out how to connect the speakers for the surround sound and of course it was my system that was bad...however when he left yesterday I had to call him back to get my Direct TV to work again and I should have checked all the tv's connected to that system because it was not working properly. So after spending about an hour and 20 minutes on the phone I got no where with this company! Now this free service has cost me probably 2 days of waiting for another repairman to come and fix his screw up!

i have brought in two computers and both where not gotten back to me by the promise date. when I finally got a call about the first computer it was to tell me to bring in my power cord which I left with them when i brought the computer in and it took them some time to find it.When i got the call to pick up the first computer things i had asked for were still not completed and they had to keep it longer. Its been 8 days on the second computer(promised in seven days) And I have still have not gotten a Call. I have been with Best Buy for a long time and this is the worst experience i have ever had with this organization.
