Computer problem solved quickly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Was having concerns with what appeared to be a problem with my 6-month old computer. Brought it to the store and was told I would have to leave it for a few days while it was examined to see the cause of the problem. Received a call the next day saying that the problem had been solved and the computer could be picked up. The techs were very pleasant and apparently did good work, as I have not had a problem since and the service was "gratis" because of the Tech Support Membership.

Re-installation of Win7 corrected the problems. All seems to be OK now

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have not had to use the service yet, but will be calling soon, the printer was set up to work remotely for the laptops and set up for the desktop, we are only able to print from one laptop. This is inconvenient to say the least since the laptop is our son's and we do not have access to it.

So when I came to get it, I was told that there would be a bit of the wait or I could make an appointment and come back. I made the appointment and when I came back I still had to wait quite a bit.

This is a must have for all computers

Hold time was less than a minute and my problem was resolved within 10 minutes. This is a great service. I've used other tech support companies in the past (prior to buying a new system). They were not knowledgeable, had long hold times and seemed more interested in selling me something than fixing my problem. Geek squad is not like that. They fixed the problem quickly and explained what they were doing so I could understand.

Any time I have a computer problem, I call them, or usually e-mail them, and they fix it. Anyone I've dealt with has always been professional, knowledgeable and polite. They answer any questions I have and complete their work in a timely fashion. The best part is that I haven't had to leave home to get this great service If something can't be fixed remotely, I can go to my local store and get the service I need. I highly recommend the Geek Squad.

It is not worth the effort

They started by wanting to re-install the operating system, next I got a call that one of the hard drives had crashed and I need to replace it. I got a new hard drive and they replaced it and called me to pickup the computer and was told it is fixed. When I got home the computer was still not working I did a scan from the Dell web site and the results were that the other hard drive was bad too and one of the memory modules was bad also. It seems that those guys did not even go beyond checking if the operating system is working and that they have no idea about hardware diagnostics. I am fixing my computer by my self without there help. Also if you call their help line you do not get any much help.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Over all the geek squad has been very helpful and informative, Windows 8 is so different so there is a lot to learn for me. they have been very patient. I had one agent that was not helpful over a phone conversation. When I asked him to slow down and that I didn't understand and asked for more info he lost patients with me and I got frustrated and just hung up. Every other agent that I have had to deal with was very helpful and explained things in a way that I understood.

I've had geek squad before and never used it so my money was wasted. I'll see how much I like them after I call tomorrow and see if they can solve my printer issue.

printer installation when you have no disc!

I had to leave my house during the process and he was able to work on my computer while I was gone. When I got back he was still there and finished up quickly. He was so nice and efficient that I will keep his information and use him in the future!

To be blunt, we aren't the most tech savvy duo and having the ear of a helpful more well-informed individual(s) is very useful

Service contract really helps with all of today's

Also allowed us to get a couple of of other computers software issues corrected. Now they work with the same speed as they did when new.

Excellent Speedy Service

Geek Squad was sympathetic to my problem and felt certain that they could fix it. I paid for expediting my repair and they wouldn't gurarantee to fix it any faster, they gave me estimates. However, they got it done within 48 hours which was much better than they had promised. So far, all is well. I was very pleased with their service and attention to my problem.

Really worked out great for our situation

The membership includes working on 3 different items. They worked on our desktop. I will have them work on the laptop and on a new desktop we purchased. This included antivirus protection for 3 computers also so for us, it really paid for the Geek Squad Membership. I wouldn't have done it if they had not started taking appointments for repairs, etc. I live too far away to not get in when I need to.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.overall experience took me 9 visits but I live close-( not a techy so some trips were my ignorance) Dell was great- The problem was fixed -the cost was as told me- they jumped right on it when I came back with the computer because it didn't work when I got it home.Peace reigns!!!

Support has been good so far. But when the tech does not know how to fix a problem, they should just say so instead of spending 40 minutes guessing what to do next while the customer is on the line.
