Customers are saying

Customers commend Ghost of Tsushima's stunning graphics, immersive story, and engaging combat system. Many also praise the beautiful open world, side quests, and the game's overall smooth gameplay. While some players found the camera angles challenging at times and the difficulty level manageable, the positive feedback on other aspects significantly outweighs these concerns. The game's captivating scenery and excellent music are also frequently highlighted.

Ever wished for a more grounded samurai game based in Japan that you saw in those old Japanese Samurai movies? It's finally here and it delivers. One of the most breathtaking worlds ever in a video game that will have you wanting to explore it endlessly. The story is great filled very good side characters that stand out and that add to the story, not just the main protagonist(Jin). The combat is fantastic and has plenty of cool/epic moments from taking on camps to the awe inspiring duels just like how you saw them in old Japanese samurai films. I seriously can't say enough of how much I enjoyed this game. This is my game of the year. One of the most fun open world games i've played this generation. Worth every penny I spent on it. This is SuckerPunch's best game and I say this even tho I liked Infamous 2. It's nice to see them try something else and boy they delivered. I would love to see a sequel of some sort even if it's not a direct one at some point in the future. Given the reception, I think it's almost guaranteed they will.

Great PS4 exclusive. Probably one of the best looking open world games I've played this console generation and i've only played through one of the acts so far. The colors pop and honestly it's peaceful to play. The combat takes a minute to get the hang of but once you do it's a blast.

This game is absolutely fantastic. The visuals are unparalleled in this generation of gaming, and the care and affection taken for Japanese culture and history shows the true dedication of the creators. While the combat can be repetitive, it is a game that you get beat up at first, then become the master of martial combat. The timing required for parries leaves you able to become focused on combat to an almost zen-like point. While this game does draw inspiration from games like Assassins Creed and Arkham City, it feels truly unique in the way that it combines gameplay. In this game you will defend your home, take revenge on its invaders, locate and pray to shrines, compose haiku, relax in hot springs, and assist the people of Tsushima in reclaiming their lives and happiness. Be a true warrior poet, buy this game. Buy this game and witness escapism at its best.

    An Essential Playstation Title

This game made for a worthy send off to the PS4 generation by one of Sony's first party studios. With the story and general progression systems feeling akin to games from the PS3 era while featuring a deep combat system and well developed open world expected modern day titles, Ghost of Tsushima ends up feeling familiar and refreshing all at the same time. The only weak aspect of the experience is the limited illusion of choice presented throughout the game, and how little those choices actually impact the narrative, though it's still an improvement over such issues that were present in the Infamous games. All things considered, Ghost of Tsushima is a high quality game with plenty to offer in terms of narrative, gameplay, and replayability with the new game plus and multiplayer modes that were added post launch.

In terms of sheer polish, Tsushima is right up there with 2018's God of War. This game blew my expectations away. Great gameplay, some of the best graphics the PS4 has to offer, engaging story, huge open world. You won't be disappointed by this one!

From the creators of the Sly Cooper and inFAMOUS series, Ghost of Tsushima weaves the epic journey of Jin Sakai, a samurai who barely survives the Mongol invasion and seeks allies to aid him in rescuing his uncle. Forced to break the code that has defined him, Jin builds a new legend for himself as a ghost warrior who will drive off the invaders of his homeland. The combat is very responsive and demands a level of skill that, while not quite as deep as Sekiro or a Soulsborne game, will satisfy any action junky who craves a challenge. Hone your katana skills, as well as a range of explosives and kunai to divide and conquer your foes. There are also many unlockable skills, some of which give you an advantage over certain enemy types, and allow you to take command of the battlefield as you journey across the gorgeously rendered Tsushima island.

This games graphics, controls, storyline and character development is amazing. I wish the main story was longer but if you play all the side quests and do the story as you go, it makes the experience a lot more fun and longer to complete the game.

I remember when I watched the reveal for Ghost of Tsushima a few years back at E3. It caught my eye but I didn't devote any true attention to it until earlier this year. Once I learned that the Ghost of Tsushima was an open world, it had my full attention since I am a fanatic for a good open world. I eagerly watched the Playstation State of Play that featured the game and watched it several times, taking in all the details. I was disappointed when the release date changed from June to July but I remained hungry for the game nonetheless! Let me tell you, it was TOTALLY worth the wait! I won't go into spoiler territory so feel free to read on. This game is breathtaking (something that I am sure you have heard a hundred times at this point). For the first week alone, I simply explored as I uncovered side missions while slowly inching my way to the closing of the First Act. I highly suggest that you play this game with either a headset or a solid soundbar because part of the experience of this immersive game is the sound while the rest is visuals and game mechanics. I still will fire the game up and wander around, stopping by a shallow stream only to listen to the water and the other sounds of nature. It's relaxing. But the main focus of the game is being a Samurai and breaking away from the Samurai tradition to implement stealth 'ghost' tactics. You unlock techniques that further your warrior experience. Eventually, you'll become a Samurai master as you unleash a wave of tactics against several enemies at once. The combat isn't perfect however but that's ok. There isn't a lock an option for you to toggle between enemies when surrounded. I don't know if this was done on purpose in order for the player to be on their toes or if it was an oversight on Sucker Punch. Just when you think you've seen it all, new environments are introduced to you that just make you feel like you are on an adventure of a lifetime. Playstation is sending off the PS4 with a beautiful love letter for the players. You NEED this game in you collection!

First of all, I think Ghost of Tsushima makes an argument for being the most beautiful game ever. Partly because the graphics are technically excellent, but mostly because the art direction is so spectacular. I’m not big on “photo modes” in games, but I find myself constantly using it in this game. The gameplay is also more than up to the task. It’s an epic open-world adventure, I would say one of the very best in recent years along with Spider-Man and The Witcher 3 (although Witcher of course has more RPG elements). I find the side missions to be entertaining (a weakness in many open-world games) and the combat is challenging without being ultra-punishing (this is NOT a “Souls like” such as Nioh). This game is guaranteed to hype you up to watch some Kurosawa films. :)

I've heard people compare this to Assassins Creed. But this is way better than any AC game I've played. The controls are great, the gameplay smooth and fun, and the story got to me more than I expected. Not too be missed.

Ghost of Tsushima is an excellent game for fans of the old Japanese samurai movies made by Akira Kurosawa as the game is essentially an homage to his films. Graphics are breathtaking even on the underpowered PS4 and combat is easy to master, making for a very enjoyable experience. The game has a great cinematic feel to it, especially in the grained black and white Kurosawa mode, and the story is engaging enough. If you have a PS4, you should have Ghost of Tsushima.

Where to start. First off, ran on ps4 pro, this game is just so gorgeous. The level design of ancient Japan is mesmerizing. The combat is oh so satisfying. Mechanics from AC1 and games alike were borrowed to make the perfect samurai swordplay. Standoff against the enemy, slashing through them with one powerful swing of your sword or stealthily take out your enemies from the shadows. Parrying & evasive maneuvers give you the ultimate openings for combos to damage more than one person at a time when attacked by a group. With ninja tools to help, this game is so close to perfect for any action-adventure gamer with a love for Samurai culture. Not to mention Kurosawa(yes the legendary Japanese director, the very same)mode. I could keep going but I have to stop somewhere.
