This movies honors what came before. I love a sequel or any move that respects what built the franchise or the basic movie name. The movie honors the characters and the original creator. I truly believe Harold Ramis would be proud. The previous film "Answer the call was in my opinion just bad. I'm sorry but i'm not the only one who thinks so. Ghostbuster Afterlife is the best way to forget that movie.

Ghostbusters afterlife. I understand the concept behind this movie it's supposed to take place you know 45 years after the original. Yet it's hard to capture the magic the original Ghostbusters movie had and still has to this day. It's a good movie storyline is really good The acting is really good, but yet I still prefer the original if you're an owner of all the Ghostbusters movies yes this is a must have just keep in the collection. Yet I would say again it's not as good as the original. The CGI graphics the storyline all very well done acting very well done, but I still prefer the original.

seriously, after the atrocity of the last one i didnt have my hope up, not only that i kinda dont like movies where the main character are just kids. but this movie proved me wrong in every way! it was fun and a great time back to back. and for those of you still wondering if its worth the pick up yes yes it is! its got a great touring ending and a perfect tribute to our fallen ghostbuster.

Took my young daughter to see this at the theater and we loved it. I wasn't familiar with it as I know the first 2 perfectly, and wasn't able to shield her eyes in places. But this is certainly nothing I wouldn't let her keep watching at 7 years old. I really liked the story and I hope they can come up with maybe one more story!

Definitely recommend the 4K version. The picture quality is sharp with good contrast. The dark scenes look fantastic with a lot of detail. The surround sound is also very active. If you have a good atmos setup with decent subs you can feel the couch rumble in some scenes. If you are any sort of ghostbusters fan, then this movie is definitely recommended to add to your collection.

Great movie! 80s baby so am probably biased. Good continuation of franchise with new characters. Not a ghostbusters 3 but plays well off first two. Setting up a new franchise with wonderful easter eggs for franchise fans. Really good family flick just dont expect Venkman to still the show like in the originals. Still have to own it very well done with extra Egon respect on it.

A great return to a great series. This film proves an excellent example of revisiting a nostalgic property but bringing something fresh and new to it. Is the threat/plot a bit of a rehash on the first film? Yes, but the new characters and interpersonal relationships make this a worthy addition to the series and an entertaining watch. Well worth adding to your collection.

Sony delivers fans of Ghostbusters: Afterlife an amazing 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray experience. Bringing in an excellent Dolby Vision transfer, this disc is complete with an intense and impactful Atmos track to match. Bonus features may be a bit slim, but there’s some interesting stuff in there worth picking through.

Aside from some late in the game 'forced fan service moments' this movie works because it is genuine, like the original Ghostbusters was, working comedy naturally into the plot rather than making it the driving factor. The new characters are fantastic and it feels like a proper sequel. I can't wait for the next one.

Really enjoyed this movie, it pays homage to the originals and intelligently adds to their lore. All of the actors are great in their roles, but the kids are at their best. My whole family enjoyed the movie, including my daughter who doesn’t have the experience of seeing the originals.

Out of all the Ghostbuster movies, this is by far the best. I loved the original and I think it is because of the original that makes this one so good. They kept so much of the original stuff in this movie but put a new spin on it but with a very awesome ending. It is a must see

I still don’t understand why “Afterlife” and “Answer The Call” can exist in the same universe as they both continued the legacy of the Ghostbusters in interesting and fresh ways. Overall I enjoyed this film and it was fun to see the Ghostbusters from child’s POV. If this is the reboot of the franchise, I am looking forward to the next story.

This movie was really good. It wasn't perfect but it continued the story line from the first movie and tied new characters to legacy characters in a very meaningful way. If you liked the original two Ghostbusters there should be a lot for you to enjoy in this new movie. Looks fantastic on 4k!

Ghostbusters afterlife is basically Ghostbusters 3 after 35 years. It has a young teen star appeal to it but has some fun stuff and nostalgia for grown ups who grew up in the 80’s and 90’s. There is 1 scene towards the end that may be a little frightening for some younger kids but otherwise this would be a good family fun movie! Highly recommend

Paul Rudd has been a great addition to the franchise. It’s clever like the old series, and funny as well. Wonderful having the old gang show back up, and great to see that the new team can hold their own and take the this wonderful series into the future. Absolutely worth seeing!!!

Ghostbusters are back, this film has a lot of Easter eggs, which makes it even more fun to watch. I wasn’t to sure about a younger generation of characters, but found them entertaining after all. And to see the original stars show up made it even better.

This Ghostbusters is a lot better than the 2016 one. Sadly, Harold Ramis is no longer here to physically be a part of this film. I still think a Ghostbusters film with the original Ghostbusters cast should have been made years ago, but we get this, which is as close to a legitimate Ghostbusters film we're going to get.

This film is a perfect follow-up to the original two films (1984, 1989), and completely ignores the 2016 abomination. There is just enough call-back to satisfy fans, but still moves the story forward in a satisfying way. The technical merits of the disc are also quite nice.

As with most Sony 4K blu-rays, Ghostbusters afterlife had immense clarity in its picture. I will say, cinematography-wise, the film was filmed a little too dark. I have an LG Dolby vision enabled 4K Blu-ray player and was surprised that the specular highlights didn't pop as much as I thought it would. Still pristine in terms of picture sharpness. And the special features on here are great. The movie itself is a good 7 out of 10, so is the 4k Blu-ray.

Awesome REAL sequel to the original 2. That all female cast one doesn't count and honestly. should've never been made. This one really gets the emotions stirring and was done in about the best way possible for Egon. What a nice tribute at the end. Definitely worth a watch and worth watching more than once.
