I pre-ordered the standard edition God of War at $51 back in March. I best it and sold it to a friend for $45. I fell in love with the father soon relationship, as I have two sons of my own. I told myself I would buy and replay at 20 or 25. I found this amazing Christmas bargain. A highly detailed statue and a steelbook. Best Buy steps their game up alot lately with bargains.

God of War is an amazing game by itself but this collectors edition immediately immerses you deeper into the lore the game explores. The statues, map, steel book are all intricately detailed and well made,

I remember when I played the first God of War on PS2 and instantly fell in love with the combat and the story. I bought every title in the series as they released except for the two titles on the PSP. This game changes the combat and the titular character, Kratos, for the better. The combat is up close and personal now and you actually control Atreus’ attacks while slashing away as Kratos. There is also a small RPG element added to this game in which you craft armor and decorate your main weapons. It is not a remake as it is still in the same universe since this is based on Norse mythology now instead of Greek. There are some nice surprises that I will not spoil. I say, do yourself a favor as this is another exclusive every PS4 owner needs to play. This is only my second collector’s edition ever buying and I love the statue of Kratos and Atreus.

God of War (2018) is a fresh take on a series that while generally fantastic has not seen much in the way of change. The story of the god of war series is a story of vengeance. God of War (2018) tells a much more personal story of a father and son journeying to fulfill the last wishes of their dearly departed. No more button mashing combat this time around. Combat is still fun and frenetic but with much more strategy involved, while it retains much of the ultra violence and gore the series is known for. Prepare to become obsessed with Norse Mythology, because God of War presents many beautiful settings with even more stories to tell. Take the Rainbow road to your nearest Best Buy and pick up a copy of God of War, The Allfather demands it!

Excellent collectors edition for an amazing game. I got this for a great deal, but I wouldnt've bought it at full price. The statue is high quality, as are all of the other components. The game itself is one of the best on the ps4, and an absolute must play for any real gamer. Amazing graphics, story, combat, and characters. Norse mythology setting is beautiful and detailed. Can't wait for the sequel.

Great story, great graphics, excellent real time cinematics, excellent game play. Travel with Atreus to scatter the Ashes of former wife to Kratos, and mother to Atreus, to the highest mountain. What should be an easy feat becomes an even bigger quest than anticipated. Explore the world and collect treasures, conquer challenges, and complete side quests, in this epic scale of a game. Statue is also detailed and has some nice weight to it. Highly recommend for any GoW fan since the beginning of the franchise back when it started out in the PS2 console.

This is my favorite game of all time. From the story to the graphics to the combat. This game has it all. The statue is so detailed!

I bought the collectors edition with the statue and I am very pleased with the quality of the statue. Looks awesome in my collection. The box was very well packaged and I love the gamers card with best buy. I save so much money with this card. The game is top notch. I love how they have changed the way the game plays and the progression is very well done. I have played for over 10 hours and I am still going. A lot to do and a lot of fun. Gameplay 10! Graphics 10! Replay 10! Collector's Edition 10!

Everything about this game was amazing. The Story, graphics and gameplay were all magnificent. It’s definitely the best God of War game by far to date and this is honestly of the greatest games I’ve ever played. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you have a PS4. The statue was dope as well.

I held off getting this game because there are always "complete" editions or "Game if the Year" ones and I figured I'd wait for one if them. Then I saw this -- on sale, while also eligible for GCU, and I couldn't hold off. In the pictures it looks cool, but in person the detail is GORGEOUS. It is quality. The little wood/resin figures are detailed and have some weight, too. The steel book actually looks neat and the map is pretty nice as well. The lithograph was a bit of an add on, but the more stuff the better. This also comes with DLC that is actually useful. Usually a company will give a lame skin, but this gives things you can use. Plus the game itself is a gem. All-in-all, the value of this was amazing and if you can somehow fund it for the price...get it!

This game is incredible! The story is fantastic, graphics are top notch and really push the PS4 to it's limits, sound design is great, art direction is perfect. I've been waiting for the next entry since GoW3 and the wait was definitely worth it. The collector's edition statue is just awesome! The cloth map is nice (planning on framing mine). The lithograph and 2 inch carvings are cool also. The steel book case looks amazing with the rune design all around. Would definitely recommend to any collector and fan of the God of War series. If you've got an extra $20, the Stone Mason edition is also a worthwhile purchase. I believe it comes with a ring and some extra figures/keychains.

One of the greatest games I've ever played. An amazing story, excellent gameplay, fascinating lore, visceral combat, and gorgeous to look at.

God of war is one of the best games this generation. The combat and story are really good. Not to mention how cool the collectors edition is.

The story for this game is superb, Kratos is like we’ve never seen. His character is complex and compassionate, the addition of his son opens a new side to him at it’s astonishing. Aside from the incredible story the gameplay is superb and provides many hours of enjoyment. I would highly recommend this game to anyone, 10/10. In addition to this incredible game the collectors edition comes with a few other cool things including a beautifully made statue, perfect for people who love the series.

First and foremost, the game is great! As someone that played the previous gen God of War games, and wasn't overly impressed by them, I was pleasantly surprised at how good this game is. Lots to do, combat feels good and challenging, and graphics are amazing. As for the collector's edition, I'm very happy with the quality of the Kratos and Atreus Statue, and they are sitting proudly on my shelf with my other gaming statues.

This is a great game and the collectors edition is the cream of the crop oyeah lol no but this is a game of the year edition for me ive played all the god of war games and have to say this was my most favorite of all good story grat game play just amazing and i got this cheap too 41 dollars nice sometimes is nice to wait a while0-o

From the moment you start the game you are pulled in by the story telling and graphics! This collection is a must have for any GOW fan! Statue, steelbook, and extras are Amazing! Kratos has aged and can’t wait to see what comes next for him and Atreus. The Nordic surroundings and new enemies make this a Game you can’t miss!

This collectors edition is amazing and well put together the statue is well made and packaged perfectly the steel box looks great and the small things like the map tiny wood figures and print look amazing too. The game is one of the best I've played this year and looks beautiful this collectors edition is well worth the money
