Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention significant issues with the Godzilla game's gameplay and controls. Many found the movement and controls unresponsive and difficult to master, impacting the overall enjoyment. Pricing also drew criticism, with some believing the game wasn't worth the full retail price. While some aspects were appreciated, the negative feedback regarding core mechanics overshadowed the positive comments.

This is definitely a budget game. It is a re-release of a PS3 game from Japan. As a huge Godzilla fan, I love taking control of 10+ of some of my favorite Kaiju as lumbering hulking giants. If you are not a fan, I suspect you would feel very differently. The game is VERY repetitive, only has a veneer of a story mode, only online multiplayer (which you need ps+ for), and has a simple level up system for each monster which would be fun if it did not require an EXCESSIVE amount of grinding. Depending on your outlook, this game could have a massive amount of cons. As a long time fan of Godzilla, I take what I can get.

It's a simple game of destroying cities and fighting other monsters. There is plenty to unlock in this game and if your on the fence about buying it (which I was) Just do it. I'm into it and so will the kids. -Online VS. (1-1 or just 3 monsters at a time) -Choose a path level mode similar to NES Godzilla. -tons to unlock if your a fan.

This is a great game. It's really only for die hard godzilla fans. Alot of people are hating on this game because it's to slow or the graphics are bad. But graphics arnt everything In games. As long as it's fun that's what matters.

The controls takes some getting used to and the monsters move really slow you can upgrade. I am a huge Godzilla fan, but not of the game.

I was excited for the game, my imagination went wild. And then I played it. Only buy if you collect Godzilla stuff.

For a game with this many monsters, locations and possibilities of fun story modes it is relatively boring. Graphics are OK, gameplay is really repetitive, and though the sounds and effects harken back to the old Godzilla films I used to know and love, it didn't take long before that became routine and just OK as well. Doesn't hold up for high replay value, and maybe better as a rental rather than a purchase.

Had high hopes for this game, they were dashed to say the least. The Kaiju Models look good, but otherwise the graphics would have been bad last generation. Controls and instructions are clunky and ridiculous. This game is an absolute disaster (in a bad way).

I am a huge Godzilla and classic movie monster fan. As such, this game seemed right up my alley. I am happy to say that Namco-Bandai perfectly represented the kaiju genre well. It really feels like you are playing one of those classic movies. However, the game itself is clunky and repetitive. Mechanically, it can be quite simple to play and if you are not a fan, it will get old fast.

Decided to buy this hoping it was more like Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters for the Gamecube. Was very disappointed that it was not like that. There are multiple modes, but each one boils down to either destroy the generators, or defend them if you choose defense mode. In story mode where you go and destroy the generators, normally after destroying the first one, a kaiju will appear, however, you can completely ignore said monster and keep on destroying the generators, and if you destroy all 3, the level ends. Defense is just the opposite, kill the kaiju attacking the generators with as minimal destruction as possible. The only real nice thing about this game, is the monsterpedia giving you information about each kaiju, movies and years they were introduced, etc. (Which you have to still unlock each entry) If you can find this game for $10 or under, maybe contemplate getting it. I made the mistake of paying full price for this.

The visual aspect of the game was nice, but controlling the character was not as smooth as you would expect for a next gen game. Does not offer 2 player split screen/ multiplayer mode. Not worth spending the $$$ for unless it's a title offered during a Black Friday sale.

This game is super fun, although can get kind of repedetive after a short while. Still a great gameplay experience, and has a lot of awesome godzilla lore and story put into it in extra features as well, a must have for any godzilla fan!
