Batteries diminish rapidly

The lack of power cable allowed me to put cameras where I needed without all the extra work. I think I’m going on 30 days or so with no battery issues.

I have dogs that go outside several times a day and activate the camera and it still lasts for several weeks. Highly recommend!

Great cameras

That's where the good ends. The Google Home app holds these cameras back and can't even compare to the Nest app. The app was nowhere ready for this launch and Google made a huge mistake forcing the use of the Home app. On another note, if you wire one of these up for 24/7 video and you're expecting continuous scrubbing like in the Nest app, you'll be very disappointed.

- One account to sign into both the Nest and Google Home apps.
- Your homes and home members will be aligned across the Nest and Google Home apps.

We’re focused on giving our customers value for the price, including three hours of event history right out of the box for the first time ever. On-device processing also gives our customers smart alerts and Activity Zones, which historically have required a subscription. There's no fee to stream full resolution live video and receive basic notifications, as long as your camera is connected to the internet. However, you’ll need a Nest Aware subscription to receive advanced notifications. With a Nest Aware subscription your video will be saved to the cloud and you’ll get extra features. Having a battery makes it super convenient, but you also have the option to wire it if you don't want to worry about charging.

The new app is very difficult to use, and you can’t leverage the original nest app which was much better. I’m hoping google does not sunset the old app. The recording starts way to late and cuts out early, and many clips have a weird white flash at the beginning of the recording. Image quality is worse than original camera as well. I’m returning the camera and scooping up the old one while they are still in stock at some stores.
