They work great ,but a real pain to setup if you dont have ready electrical outlets or make a mistake setting up or your WIFI is weak , otherwise pics are clear and the alerts are nice, too see if someone is at your door or in your yard, or you get a delivery.

Camera was easy to install and the new cord is so much better then the old cam with the USB to power converter. I love how it has the battery so if it's plugged in and you loose power it may still work providing your internet is still up.

We hear your concern about viewing your camera video using the Home app. We suggest having the latest version of Google Home app that can improve camera playback controls to make it easier to play, pause, and navigate between events from the camera history view. Also, checking for device updates can provide the latest features and keep the devices secure, and are applied across the operating system, browser, and hardware. These updates depend on many device specific non-Google hardware and software providers that work with Google to have the highest level of security and stability support.

Using at assisted living facility. Having some issues with connection and playback. Not sure if it’s just the connection or camera ability to connect well.

Quality is mediocre. You cannot use these cameras in the nest app and you cannot use nest aware with these to extend 24/7 recording past 10 days. These cameras are also larger than a baseball so not very attractive. If you use the Google app to see these cameras, you cannot see camera history from existing nest cameras. You'll have to switch back and forth between nest and Google home app. The biggest disappointment is the quality. The black indoor camera appears better during the day and at night by far. The only difference is the battery and internal storage.

And with Nest Aware Plus, you’ll get 60 days and 10 days of 24/7 video history if you choose to connect your Nest Cam (battery) to a power cable. It also supports 2 major features that drive the size of the product: on-device computer vision with high compute or performance and continuous video recording when plugged into power.
Also, you can adjust the video quality in settings to balance high resolution video with longer battery life and lower bandwidth use. For optimal video quality at 1080p, an internet connection upload speed with at least 2 Mbps per camera is recommended (DSL may not qualify). Please see the steps below: - Open the Home app Google Home app. - Select your camera. - Tap Settings Video. - Under “Video quality,” tap High.

Activities are detected by motion detection on Nest Cam (Battery), and can be affected by changes in the light level, and shadows moving across the frame like when a cloud moves in front of the sun. This also includes other movements within the camera's field of view like trees or bushes swaying. If you're not getting any alerts or notifications, we recommend trying out the steps below: 1. Change the Activity Zones on your camera. You can delete your existing Activity Zone and create a new one in any area within your camera's field of view. Just make sure that none of the zones you create overlap. 2. Change the angle of your camera and account for the lighting in the surrounding area. 3. Restart your Camera.
