Your Nest camera's battery life will depend on factors including activity, temperature, and camera settings that you select. You can extend the battery life by adjusting video quality, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas. Here are some typical scenarios for your Nest Cam (Battery):
Busy: About 1.5 months battery life (about 20 - 25 recorded events per day)
Typical: About 3 months battery life (about 9 - 12 recorded events per day)
Quiet: About 7 months battery life (about 2 - 4 recorded events per day)
We recommend checking the frequency of events (per day) that you get with your Nest Cam (Battery). Great camera with a couple of cons

Only complaint is they are easy to steal and you need to buy extra parts to secure it. Only other thing is having to pay for a subscription, I don't mind paying but $8 a month is a little high when you can get others for free.

They also look fantastic! Only issue is that the quality of the video could be better, things that are not up close are rather blurry - no way I could read a license plate with a recording but I could probably describe the car color/make/model.

We suggest adjusting your cameras’ video quality that can improve the resolution. The higher the video quality setting you choose, the sharper and more detailed your footage can be, but it also uses more of your internet bandwidth. This setting lets you choose the maximum video quality for your cameras. And whichever level you pick, your camera will automatically adjust its resolution and compression according to how much bandwidth is available. I just wish those would also work with the system, but this works really smoothly with the new Google app Google Home so I’m giving it a go.

Not Bad, Consider Other Options

I had to disable some settings in my router to make the connection stable. For outdoor camera like this, maybe would consider different options for better connectivity.

There have been a couple instances where I wanted to go back to a specific event. But there was a drop in events. Like 2 minutes before the event and then it picks up several minutes later. Happened pretty few and far between times. But I have 6 devices so I can’t really complain too much.

It doesn't seem to allow me to hook it up to the old nest app where my doorbell is connected. The nest app lets me keep record all the time. The google app only records when it is triggered and simply is not as useful as the doorbell camera, in comparison. Also, if you don't plan on having it always plugged in, it also kinda sucks.
