Simple to set up and super easy to manage. Lots of analytics to play around with including adjusting camera zones and motion detection

Nest App was far better and easier to use. IDK how Google can buy Nest yet not use the Nest App. Or at least copy it. I might end up returning these because I like the Nest App far much better and go with something else. Google, fix this. I mean, you are Google!!

Not an upgrade

I was very excited for the new ones but there is very little new and a lot to dislike. The video is the same if not worse than the originals. Forcing us into the goole home app instead of the Nest app was the final straw. Returning these, canceling my nest aware plus subscription and going with another ecosystem sadly.

The video quality can be adjusted in settings to balance high resolution video with longer battery life and lower bandwidth use. For optimal video quality at 1080p, an internet connection upload speed with at least 2 Mbps per camera is recommended (DSL may not qualify). Please check the steps below:
- Open the Home app Google Home app.
- Select your camera.
- Tap Settings Video.
- Under “Video quality,” tap High.
Using a Google Home app provides you with a lot of benefits including access to Google's trusted security platform and access to other Google tools. Also, it provides you with seamless integration with your other Google devices. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. Users with older cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Doorbell and Nest Cams. Our team is working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app so all of your cameras can be set up and controlled in one place.

Decent camera, don't order from Best Buy

I ordered it and it never came, and there seems to be no way to cancel the order. Customer service said to wait three days till see if it ever shows up, but they have no information as to where the package actually is. Last time I buy from Best Buy!

Additionally this product only comes with one charger for 3 cameras. Terrible product

The battery life on the Nest doorbell (battery) will depend on factors including activity, temperature, and selected camera settings. On average here’s how long the battery will last on a single charge:
Busy - About 1 month battery life (about 25 - 30 recorded events per day)
Typical - About 2.5 months battery life (about 13 - 16 recorded events per day)
Quiet - About 6 months battery life (about 2 - 5 recorded events per day)
Here’s a few tips to conserve battery:
1. Optimize its video quality.
2. Shorten the length of time for which events are recorded.
3. Take longer to begin recording between events.

Wanted the ability to see back yard after someone stole a bicycle, and bought a second camera for the front to see the front door. I wanted to be able to see who was at the door without having an annoying doorbell!

I have lots of nest cameras at different locations in different towns. I was waiting for these so I didn’t have to run new power to certain areas. But what good is having to use a different app to see all me cameras! It’s a security camera! Am I supposed to flip between apps while there’s a potential break in? To the people or google who say “use the 1 google home app and see all the cameras”. That app is garbage. Hard to set up slow way slower than Nest app and unreliable and best. I’ve always been able to depend on the Nest app. But now it really makes the whole system useless. It was simple take a camera people love, make it battery operated. How did you screw that up??? These are coming back your way google.

- Automatic security protections such as Suspicious activity detection, 2-Step Verification and Security Checkup.
- Your Google Nest devices and services will work together. For example, if you have a Nest Cam and a Nest Hub, just say, "Hey Google, show me the backyard camera” to cast your camera stream to your display without any additional setup.
- One account to sign into both the Nest and Google Home apps.
- Your homes and home members will be aligned across the Nest and Google Home apps.
