I thought for the price point it would be faster and better than its competitors but I was very wrong. If you don't mind not knowing who is in your driveway until 30 seconds later, this is for you.

1. Check your camera’s distance to the router.
2. Restart your camera.
3. Make sure your home Wi-Fi is working.
4. Restart your router.
5. Check the settings on your Wi-Fi router or access point.

And these cameras only show up in the Google Home app along with older Nest camera's; they do not show up in the Nest app.

If something is too far away you can double tap your phone screen and it will zoom in and its pinch to zoom out. It catches all types of activities like your dog jumping on and off the couch even noises like it might even overhear conversations if you are yelling or talking loud enough but it generally dosent if your at a normal voice level.

If you want to see everything that happens at home, we offer 24/7 video history on wired Nest Cams with a Nest Aware Plus subscription. You’ll need a Nest Aware Plus subscription if you need up to 10 days of continuous 24/7 video history, up to 60 days of event video history clips or you need to record any of the following:
- Everything that happens, even if nothing moves or makes a sound.
- Small animals like cats, squirrels and birds.
- People and objects when they don’t move much, like people sitting and eating.
- Areas with poor or changing lighting, like many outdoor areas.
