This thing is great. I have both this and apple tv and like this one more. Especially because I get to choose what apps I want to install. It works great with my phone, tablet and computer wirelessly. Just wish they had more apps.

I was looking for a tv device that would support Google Play Music since I subscribe to that. I also wanted support for Netflix and CinemaNow so that I could access movies I own in UltraViolet. This device also has chromecast support built into it. It was very easy to setup and use and we're really enjoying it in our home.

I like this one a lot more than my Roku stick. It would have been perfect if ESPN were also available on this device. One minor complaint though is that this device does not have an option to change the password associated with added Google email because of newly changed password. The only way to resolve this issue is to delete the existing Google account and add it later with newly changed password.

For the $50 I paid for the nexus player it's a great buy. Most of the time it works great. Quick and responsive. Had one issue after an update that required a full power cycle for the player to work right. Kodi works great and android tv apps are coming along. Overall a great device.

It has all the apps you would expect except for Amazon Video. All the apps stream very well except for the google play movies. I could say it's my slower internet (DSL), but all the other apps were fine. The remote is very very cheap feeling. The device itself is quite nice though.

The software in this device is more user friendly than the Amazon Stick. Also, the software its faster, which gives more speed when changing apps. The only reason I did not give an Excellent review, it's because the control its missing the menu button, which the Amazon devices have.

Normally when you are looking for cheap products that works, you may find Android TV devices like mx3 or matricom. Those are good, but the Nexus player have better specifications, better build and up to date android operating system. With that being said, buy a Nexus player you had all you need there and if you don't like the OS you can always change it because it's a unlock device from google, if you have kind a of a techie self that will be easy to handle. If you want to have more power and willing to pay like $200 then you should go with a Nvidia Shield but that's another story

I bought this unit for $50 dollars which is a bargain if you compare it to a chrome cast. The interface is cool, I feel like it needs improvement but having the ability to search your entire music library, youtube, Netflix etc by just talking to the remote is pretty cool.

I recently purchased this device. Nexus products are usually great products, this one is no different. On paper the specs are impressive. I had no hiccups, the wifi was fast, streaming was nothing less than perfect. Yet this Nexus player is lacking on the software side, little apps on Google play ▶ are compatible, and there are other options to consider, Roku or FireTV... I returned my Nexus needless to say, the price to play just isn't worth it. If you play Google play games, this is for you, if not... Consider other devices. 2 stars given, I can't deny, this is serious hardware... in desperate need of software!

It is good for the price that I purchased it for. This device at full price I wouldn't recommend because there are others out there for less with the same internals.

Really awesome device. Looks exactly as if you have a smart TV and more. Works excellent with my Google account, no lags and great controller. Would definitely recommend it instead of paying all that extra money for a Smart TV.

Installed Kodi and plex Casting function is not as good as chrome cast . No Ethernet in. Heavily depend on wifi. Recommend for paring with ac router.

This thing is amazing. It is bigger than other standard devices in the same field but it is amazing. Sends amazing quality signal and in general, works like a beast. I got this when they had no chrome cast and I will never bothered with a chrome cast again. Only thing to make it better is a built in blue ray player and a better remote.

Cool, convenient, easy to use, easy set up, lots of options

When it was around $100 I was skeptical because of the limited memory space but after the price drop to $50 it is a great value. You can add memory using an otg cable and flash drive and most of the apps and games I have installed can be moved to the flash drive. I keep the bigger ones on the internal and still have about 5 gb of storage internally. I like the voice command feature lets you open any app or search without having to type in the words. The only downside I see is that you have to leave it on all the time. It goes into daydream mode but it is still on. I tried unplugging it a few times and the memory is still there but I have to keep moving everything around to get to the plug or have cords laying around so it will have to stay on for now. I bought the gamepad to go along with it and downloaded a few free games and they work Okay so I will be getting more. Overall I would say 8 or 9 out of 10

We have a Chrome cast stick and it does work a lot better than that did, as you have access to content without needing a computer or device to cast from. The technology is great, but having the stick and also having a Roku make this not necessary. You can get a Roku cheaper and have the same results, minus the casting ability. If you don't have a Chrome stick or you can use it on another tv, this is great, though. Streaming is a breeze and the layout is very well thought out.Navigation is seamless. Overall a little expensive but a LOT better than Apples product!

Love this device. I have an older, non-smart, flat screen and this device turned it in to a smart tv. Access netflix, hulu, and multiple other apps via this device. No monthly fee. All you need is wireless internet service.

The nexus is a good alternative for those who switched from apple to android. I have it connected to a sony tv set. I would prefer to buy the sony with the Google cast built in. But for now this is a good alternative. I enjoyed the options it gives you to watch movies listen to music watch youtube among other things

Love it works well with Kodi. Main downfall is not enough apps and seems as though there is no more development or very little for porting apps to it. Does get firmware updates overall pretty happy but needs more apps.

This is the best streaming media player available; Fire TV is also very good but this device being a native Android device is more suitable for hardcore android lovers. Anyone wanting to sream media will enjoy this devices but it is better for techies. I rooted mine and sideloaded MANY android apps. I love this device!
