I bought this to use the Netflix application. It works great for that. The player travels well as well which is great when I go on vacation and there is nothing on cable.

Seems to be faster than the Roku and nice that it has the capability of playing your music while playing the games in it. Sometimes with certain games there is a slight lag in response, but isn't too bad. All of the menus are good for a TV setup.

This is a great streaming device. I use this for my Plex Server and Slingtv. The wireless is good, but I wish they also kept a LAN connection on it and that the remote had a headphone plug on it like the Roku streamers. But the unit is great.

Nexus player is a decent video streamer, it has most of the apps i stream video on but the selection could be better, built-in google cast is great but one thing that is pretty annoying about the device is the constant disconnection of the remote, it would a while working just fine and out of nowhere it would lose connection and you'll have to reconnect it to the nexus player.

the nexus player is basically a beefed up chromecast running android TV, so for $15 more than a regular chromecast it's great. price aside, the software is pretty frustrating. the remote is a slow way to get to something to watch, must faster to browse youtube on your phone and cast to the nexus player than it is to use the youtube app on the nexus player. i've since flashed a custom rom on it but i still just end up using my phone and casting to my $35 chromecast as it's much faster.

The nexus player does a nice job of broadcasting content. I generally use it for content on kodi. I also easily enough downloaded a web browser. The remote is okay. However I haven't been able to get the voice search function to work on a consistent basis. I was able to easily connect a bluetooth keyboard (samsung keyboard which i use with my samsung note pro 12.2) which makes inputting information much easier. The only thing that is lacking is the ability to connect bluetooth headsets - which I read somewhere might become available via a software update (not sure if this is true or not)

This unit is very good for the price. Most streaming services have applications for the unit and Google keeps it updated with latest OS version.

Its very easy to setup. Great for streaming. Comes preloaded with some things and the google playstore has more to offer. Really cant beat 50 bucks! I already have recommended to friends and have bought 3 myself! Will not be disappointed.

I brought this because I was using my phone to watch TV shows. I got this was so happy .I was able to catch it on sale which is a plus. Works great, east to use and easy to set up.

This product is excellent as a replacement device for anyone's current cable box or as an addition to the current cable device. Enables one the ability to watch new and current movies as often as one desires. Easy and fast hook-up.

If you are not a tech savy person and cannot deal with Raspberry Pi, get this and install kodi from the app center. For the price, this is a bigger bang for the buck then anything out there. You can even attach your external usb drive with a Mini to Standard cable. There are some scaling issues with youtube and you are stuck with advertisements on youtube with the native app. You can use kodi for youtubing and block the ads. Haven't tried anything else.

I found this item to be harder to use than implied at the store. I find the APPS limited (although all the NORMAL apps works find but you can get them on any DVD/BLUray player build in). I have searched for other APPS but cant quite get the hang of it so it just sits there. A poor purchase for me not worth the time to figure it out as the documentation is worthless. The one thing I can use is streaming from my computer so that's why its not been returned to the store.

This product is good for the price which i bought in sale.Easy to setup. works well.I would recommend this product. Overall, I am very pleased.

This by far has been one of my best investments. I was trying to save money and cancel my cable to save some money (kid on the way) and this device allowed us to do it.

I came from a Roku 3. I wanted something more...modern and that I can play around with other third party developers. There are a few glitches and issues I've noticed, with one being that the sound skips when playing Hulu or Netflix. There's a fix for this (downloading an app) but this was only a problem when I upgraded to the latest Android TV OS. I also don't like that Comcast/Xfinity doesn't support Showtime Anytime on this box. Otherwise this is great for people looking for a streaming box if you're not interested in an Apple TV or Roku.

first of all, If you purchase this box, please install Kodi, it is the best thing you can do, you can read about kodi online and see tutorials on how to do it and what it does on youtube, it will allow you to do many things, if you dont, you still have the cast option as in the cheaper option (the chromecast $30), but this one has a remote and therefore the voice commands option which works pretty well, since it runs on android you can install many apps from the google play store wsuch as netflix, hulu among others, this is a pretty great box AND WELL WORTH THE MONEY IF YOU INSTALL KODI WITH ITS ADDONS

We really are enjoying it. It was very simple to install. And is extremely easy to use. Had no problems at all. Great quality!

I find the Nexus Player very easy to use. My only complaint is with the nexus Player being such a new product the app ecosystem is still growing and to find one of the remotes for gaming is almost impossible at this point.

While the list of apps available right now is not great there is a lot of potential with this device.
