The Best Google Phone
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best Android phone I have ever used. I have been an iPhone user since the original was released in 2007. I have had every iPhone through the iPhone 15 Pro Max and this was the one that made me switch. I have tried for a long time to get away from iPhones and this is was the was the one that made it the easiest to switch. It may be because it looks and feels like an iPhone but that's not a bad thing. The design looks and feels premium. The camera is the best on a smartphone to date in my opinion. I have tried other Android devices and I never cared for the Android skinned versions of others. The Pixel 9 Pro XL gives you the cleanest form of Android that is how Google intended users to use. You don’t get 2 versions of apps with wasted storage space like from Samsung. The battery is excellent and will get you through a full day even with heavy use. Google Pixel phones have been getting better and better with every iteration and Google knocked this one out of the park in my opinion. The large screen is excellent and is a higher resolution than any iPhone. Consuming content on the large immersive screen is a joy. The speakers are loud enough and sound great. I personally am not one to care too much about AI, but the many features are there for those who do. The processor is nothing to write home about if you do anything heavy on the device like gaming. However, if you are a casual user like myself and use it mainly for calls, text, taking photos and watching content, then this is well more than enough of a phone to take care of those tasks. You don’t need a super processor to watch Netflix or search for the nearest burger joint. This is the Android phone to get. I highly recommend the Pixel 9 Pro XL.

Pixel Phones are top of the line when they work
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A little rocky at the beginning but now its good. I Had to exchange my Brand new Pixel 9 pro XL for another one because the first one had an extreme lag problem where the apps and UI would move very slow half of the time for no reason. Resetting and restarting did not help. This problem stopped when the phone was plugged in and charging. I read online this could be a battery issue, where other users reported similar problems and symptoms. My second Pixel 9 Pro XL does not have this problem. So im sure the first one was defective. I understand that happens with tech so im not too bothered about it. However, still selling phones with only 128GB storage is scammy in 2025. Regardless of cloud storage memberships, storage capacities should be 512 GB min. Since manufacturing is going to be ramping up in the next years to come, I look foward to seeing future phones not cost too much and with higher default storage. The Pixel 9 Pro XL is great. Great screen and brightness, feels durable, i like the shape, great UI and Google is never a let down. Great battery and excellent XL screen size. Camera is very good, actually better than Samsung phones when it comes to picture detail. I rarely see a blur when snapping photos which is a problem samsung phones have, even the ultra models. The Pixel line up has gotten better each time!

Nice but not worth $1100
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The phone is nice but not worth $1100 for the base model 128gb storage which I got. I have OnePlus 12R which has also 16gb Ram, 256gb storage, better display and older chipset Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and runs as good as the Pixel 9 pro XL at 60% cheaper in my case even less as I got it on preorder with trade in for $350. I got the the Pixel 9 pro XL also on preorder and only because Best Buy gave me $490 trade in for my iPhone 13 + $200 gift card so my total was $646 and that's a decent price for the phone. The AI doesn't interest me at all. Camera is mediocre compared to the iPhone. The screen is the best in the Pixel series, but not as good as the OnePlus or iPhone, the front camera hole is huge and makes the screen ugly. The main reason for getting a Pixel phone is because I like the stock Android from Google and it gets the latest updates before any other brand. If you don't need the bigger screen and battery go for the regular Pixel at $799. Also worth noting that the Pixel 9 pro XL doesn't charge faster even with the original Google 45W charger, still takes 1.5-2 hours for full charge with Adaptive Charging off, while OnePlus 12R goes 0-100% in 45 minutes and last longer because is 5500 milliamp capacity. The Pixel 9 pro XL is a nice phone with great build quality but if it wasn't the trade in and the gift card I would not buy it. It should go on sale for Black Friday and that's a good time to get it if you want to.

The obsidian black model looks elegant and sophisticated, with a premium feel in hand. With its upgraded RAM, the phone handles multitasking effortlessly, and its performance is smooth even when running demanding apps. The camera system is outstanding, capturing crisp, vibrant photos even in low light. Battery life is solid, and the phone charges quickly, so you’re never tethered to an outlet for long. The software is intuitive, with seamless integration of Google’s ecosystem. Stock Android fans will love the clean interface, and the new AI features enhance the overall user experience, making tasks quicker and more personalized. The security features are also top-notch, providing peace of mind. Pixel 9 Review
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A Solid Flagship with Google's AI Magic Pros: * Excellent camera: Captures stunning photos & videos, even in challenging conditions. * Tensor G4 chip: Smooth performance, optimized for AI features. * Latest Android updates: First in line for new features & security patches. * Compact & comfortable design: Easy to hold & use with one hand. Cons: * Battery life could be better: Heavy users may need to charge during the day. * No expandable storage: Choose your storage wisely at purchase. * Speakers are average: Fine for casual listening, but not the loudest. Overall: The Pixel 9 is a fantastic phone that excels at photography & AI features. It's a great choice for anyone seeking a compact, powerful device with Google's latest software innovations. Should you buy it? If you prioritize camera quality, AI features, and a clean Android experience, the Pixel 9 is a top contender. However, if you need the absolute best battery life or the most powerful specs, you might consider other options.

Pixel is finally a FLAGSHIP!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've personally had a Pixel in my pocket since the original and daily both an iPhone and Pixel everyday, and I truly think that the hardware finally compliments the software to complete with the iPhone Pro and Galaxy Note. Standout performance on Pixel has always been it's software and camera still photos, but now the rest of the hardware is there too. The design got cleaned up and the camera bump finally is incorporated in a clean footprint compared to previous years. The finger print reader is a major upgrade, feels as fast as a Samsung compare to the 7 and 8 that had a delay feel waiting for the screen flash. Battery life is also major upgrade from last year's model which was already good. Coming from a Pixel 8 Pro, the Pixel 9 Pro feels like they refined everything little thing to polish it up, honestly no complaints. My favorite Pixel and comparing it with the iPhone 16 Pro, it's my preferred choice of the two without question.

Google Pixel 9 XL after 6 months
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Pixel 9 XL is a fantastic phone. Its strengths lie in its exceptional camera, powered by Google's AI, and its vibrant 6.3-inch OLED display. Performance is top-notch thanks to the latest Android 14 and a powerful processor, ensuring smooth multitasking and gaming. Battery life is impressive, easily lasting a full day. While it would be nice to have more storage options beyond 256GB and a bundled Gemini Live subscription, the Pixel 9 XL delivers a premium smartphone experience at a competitive price. It's a top contender for anyone seeking a flagship phone.

Feels Great, Looks Great, Performs Well, Pricey
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I struggle to give this phone four stars, it's really 4.5 to me. Overall I really like the phone. What I really like: -The size, fit and feel. It is a great size, nearly identical to the Pro Max 16 that comes out soon. I traded in my S24 Ultra for this, in part, because I didn't like the squared off edges of the S24U. -The camera is great. One of the best all-around cameras on a phone. The S22-24U still beats any camera in the optical zoom feature though Pixel 8 Pro & up finally has the "Zoom Enhance" feature that was promised at the launch of the 8 Pro. Zoom Enhance is a bit of a gimmick but it does help with some things, especially text. -Battery life has been very good. I tend to get about 2 days out of it, though I do use two phones. -Stock Android is better than One UI in my opinion though I still use Nova Launcher because it brings a tremendous amount customization. -Ultrasonic Finger Sensor. Finally! The fingerprint sensor is so much better than the 7 Pro or 8 Pro! Where the deductions come from: -Price. This is not quite on par with other $1100 phones. The Tensor processor is good for most everything most people use their phones for but it still lags appl and Snapdragon. This should still be $999 with 256GB starting storage.

Buy this one
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had Pixel phones since the Pixel 2. This is my favorite one this far. The build quality of this phone feels amazing. I traded in a Pixel 8 pro for the 9 Pro XL and i have no regrets. I dont use the AI features but its a cool nice to have. Battery life for me has been way better that than Pixel in the past. I carry an iPhone as well and i have no plans to put my sim card in that device. In regards to other Android devices, i have used Samsung devices and while Samsung has a great thing going, something always brings me back to Pixels. To wrap up, i really enjoy this phone and dont have any thing bad to say right now.

Awesome Upgrade from a Pixel 8
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from a Pixel 8... This is a massive upgrade. My 8 I had to run in battery saver for it to last 24hrs. This 9 Pro XL easily lasts me over 24 hours on a charge with plenty of battery to spare. Of course your battery life may vary due to usage, but comparing to my 8 this is much better. Oh and I'm never running battery saver on this phone. Runs much smoother than my 8, great battery, perfect size, and the quality feels much improved over my 8. Both the rear and front cameras are a big improvement as well. I'm beyond happy with the phone, I actually much prefer my Pixels over Samsung and I was a VERY long time Samsung fanboy. If you're on Samsung make the switch.

Best Google Phone so far
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These new models have great cameras and will eventually get Android 15 but are largely a good platform for Google's Gemini AI assistant. This Pixel series comfortably competes against the best from Apple and Samsung. With tensor G4 processor, fantastic cameras, and a host of AI skills with Gemini Advanced, it is truly amazing. Apart from the camera, there is a lot to like about Pixel 9. The best is the classy new design. I just bought google Phone for the first time, and it has to be its design and camera and AI features. Will see how google improves and builds upon these features going forward.

best Pixel phone ever
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best Pixel phone so far. Having used Pixel 7, I can tell this is the best Google phone so far, with most of the quirks of previous Pixels fixed in this iteration, including infuriating fingerprint sensors, heating issues, network/signal issues, and somehow unpleasant pictures (maybe mine was a lemon camera setup on the 7; compared to my S22 and S23+ ) on the Pixel 7. I was stuck with a few months old fully paid S23+ and was looking to get rid for a meager few hundred bucks and then this phone deal showed up. I immediately grabbed the deal, and on release day, traded in my S23+ at a local bestbuy along with a free $200 gift card, which made the Pixel 9 Pro XL completely free, and also made some profit with the gift card. I'm loving this phone and really glad I was able to score one. With all major previous Pixel issues fixed, this phone feels phenomenal; really high quality, flagship level, with the looks of the top of the line iPhone, and the best part is the gigantic 16 GB RAM (plus free 1 year of Gemini advanced, if you care). Fingerprint scanner works flawlessly, and is really quick; doesn't heat up; cameras are almost awesome, giving out great pictures. Videos and CPU may not be as great as Apple's, but still more than sufficient for almost everyone; you'll hardly feel any difference when it comes to performance. Only gripe is the terribly slow auto-focus with close-up shots, specially when scanning bar codes. For instance, when scanning bar codes of a driver license/id, you'd need luck for it to actually scan fast. My more than 5 different id/license barcode scans usually took multiple attempts for a successful scan, and sometimes taking upto a minute or longer also, and you'd actually have to try bringing the id closer and farther away for focus to work, which sucks if you have to do this as part of your job. My previous S22 and S23+ worked flawlessly when scanning barcodes, with fast close-up autofocus. If you don't care for barcode scans, then this phone is definitely one of the best, and I highly recommend this phone, maybe not for the full price, but when great deals pop up, try grabbing one.

love this phone
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using the Pixel 9 Pro XL, and it’s a powerhouse. The display is huge and super sharp, perfect for watching videos or gaming. Performance is really fast, and everything runs smoothly. The camera is top-notch, taking amazing photos in all conditions, especially with the extra zoom. Battery life is solid, but it still might need a top-up by the end of the day if you're a heavy user. It's definitely expensive, but if you want a big screen and an incredible camera, it's worth it.
