Easy to use mesh router

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this device because I wanted to be able to prioritize my computer for work over kids streaming, etc, and while it does give you controls to do this temporarily for 2-4 hrs, it drastically slowed my wifi speeds. With my netgear wifi cable modem, I would get between 50-60 Mbps. After I disabled my netgear wifi and plugged in *just* the google router, I was only getting ~9 Mbps. I tried power cycling both devices and still got the same result, so I was pretty disappointed.

We appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue. Slow speed can be caused by several reasons. Here are some reasons that affect the connection:
- Your device is far from your Wifi router or point(s). Often, moving your device closer to your router or point will result in improved speeds.
- Building materials and other objects located between your router and Wifi points or between your Wifi points and mobile devices may slow your connection. If possible, try to use your device within a clear line of sight to your router or point.
- Devices connected on the 2.4 GHz channel may not achieve speeds as fast as the 5 GHz channel.
- Some devices do not support the faster Wi-Fi standards. Speed is dependent on both the router or point and the device that is connected to it. If you have an older device, it’s likely it won’t support the latest standards for the fastest speeds.
- There could be signal interference due to traffic on your Wi-Fi network, on your neighbors' Wi-Fi networks, or from other sources like microwaves or baby monitors.

Cannot choose from dual bands

Both frequency bands are active simultaneously and Nest Wifi keeps it simple by automatically choosing the band that gives the best Wi-Fi connection.

Quick and efficient

I already had one unit attached to my computer. The connection was fairly easy using the Google Home app and syncing it to my current WIFI. It did the job as it improved my signal throughout the house

It's easy to configure--literally plug-and-play. Management is even easier through the Google Home app. I have no complaints. Highly recommended!

I paired 2 of these mesh routers with my main router and now I have strong signals everywhere in my house. Recommend for anyone who has areas where it is difficult to get Wifi signal in your home.

It is working perfectly and we are loving watching TV in the backyard

Streaming is very big in my house and these meshes work great at boosting our signal. I plan on getting more in the future.
