My grandchildren are thrilled with their GoPro cameras. I only gave 4 stars because the accessories are too expensive.

I bought this with the intention of recording my family vacation of skiing in Europe. I purchased the camera about 2 weeks before my trip, and did the setup with the Quik app and all that stuff, the camera seemed to be working fine at that time. Once I took it skiing in Europe is when the problems started, the camera worked fine for 2 days and then just completely stopped turning on. I looked online for how to fix it but ChatGPT kept telling me that is a "common" problem with this camera. To say I was disappointed due to not being able to capture footage from my family vacation is an understatement and I will never purchase another product from GoPRO, id give 0 stars if I could!

Ehh not battery last about an hour before it dies not really worth the money

Froze up on initial setup. Battery drain when unit was off. Loved the form factor, but decided to go with GP12. Video was way better on the 12 than the Hero at same spec level. Photons were even worse.

Not researching the Hero’s capabilities prior to purchase is on us. This is not the device we were looking for, so we upgraded and will pass this on to another family member who is less likely to be interested in the more flexible Hero 12.

It was terrible. The camera wouldn't hold a charge and then I had to have the receipt emailed to me. I have never once had a good experience with Best buy. Maybe that 400$ gift card would change that?

Go Pro has always been a reliable brand. Excited to give this one as a gift!
