When the goPro arrived it was at 17% charge. I started charging it at about 7pm and it was at about 85% charge at 10pm. I want to say it took about 4 1/2 hours to charge maybe 5 hours max to reach 100%. After installing an update and getting that worked out, the set-up was a cinch. I already had the Quick pro app installed because I have a goPro max, and it was a cinch to add to my profile. Once it was all set-up, it worked beautifully. I love how you can control the camera on the phone through the app so I can be hands free and just press record from my phone while the camera is on the stand or on the attachments. I love how the wide view can catch so much of the area you are recording because that came in so handy during my daughters volleyball tournament. I got so many good recordings and pictures. I was very impressed on how good the video quality came out and how much of the court I was able to capture. The videos came out great! One huge bonus of the app is how you can create a highlight video on all of the videos /pictures you took. The camera is small, but took great shots of the whole court. I cannot wait to use this on many many more volleyball games, bike rides and trips.

Video quality is stunning—4K footage is crisp and vibrant, and the stabilization is unreal, even when I’m mountain biking or hiking rough trails. The low-light improvements are noticeable, giving me clear shots at dusk and indoors. The interface is intuitive and makes quick adjustments easy, and pairing with my phone for previews and edits is seamless. I’m also impressed with the improved battery life; I can film multiple sessions without recharging. Whether I’m capturing vacations, sports, or everyday adventures, this camera delivers professional-level results in a compact, rugged package. GoPro nailed it again.

I upgraded from a Hero 8. This camera has so many more features and the quality is excellent. Motion stabilization can not be beat. Excellent camera for and situation!

I recently invested in the GoPro Hero 12 from Best Buy, and it has exceeded my expectations! The 4K video quality is stunning, capturing every detail of my adventures with unparalleled clarity. The GoPro Hero 12 is a compact camera capable of shooting high-resolution. It has some image stabilization, and it's durable. However, this piece of garbage has failed every time I needed it most. I was recording indoors, in an air-conditioned house, and the GoPro Hero 12 overheated just before the most crucial moment when I needed it. Another time, it overheated right before another crucial moment. After these two failures, I decided that enough was enough and I returned it. I can't have a camera failing to record when I need it to record! The GoPro Hero 12 also fails in low-light scenarios, making it worthless for anyone recording anything other than bright-daylight settings. I can't recommend any alternative products, either, as DJI cameras all require spyware to operate. Maybe if GoPro can work out the overheating and terrible low-light performance, I'll buy another one. But this thing cannot handle recording in an air-conditioned room and it can't handle recording in a shaded area, so what can it really handle unless it's surrounded by water to cool it off?

have owned every GoPro since the Hero 3. The cameras have evolved and changed so much since then. Since the Hero 10 however, there have only been minor improvements. I believe this is because GoPro’s have become so refined and proven that there is not a need for big changes every year. The Hero 12 creator edition is the perfect camera for vlogging. It has everything you need built into a small, lightweight, and versatile package. One of my favorite features is the stabilization. It used to be that in order to get super stable video it required a bulk gimble. Even with a gimble it took a technique and knowledge for the video to turn out well. The in camera stabilization that GoPro uses is point and shoot and looks great. Since GoPros are waterproof, the camera audio can sometime be less than ideal. However, using the creator housing it comes with a built in shotgun microphone that allows for excellent audio. If you prefer, you can plug in any external microphone. One of the coolest features GoPro added to the camera this year is the ability to connect wireless earbuds, including Airpods. This allows you to use them as an external recording device or remote voice control your camera. I believe this is a big game changer. The next big thing that was upgraded this year is battery life. I have never had an issue with battery life because I prefer to record in shorter clips. If I run out of battery I just replace the battery with another. However, for some it might not be this simple. For example, if the camera is mounted externally to a vehicle and you cannot change the battery. Regardless, the extended battery times are welcomed. The creator edition includes the battery grip which I highly recommend if you are holding the GoPro or using it for vlogging. If battery life is important, then you can always shoot at a lower frame rate to conserve battery. The GoPro Hero 12 packs so much tech into a small and quite affordable package. I do not think there is another camera on the market that can offer everything it does in a small and versatile package. If you have a GoPro Hero 10 or 12 the new features may or may not be worth the upgrade. The reason I get a new one every year is because it never hurts to have more than one camera anyway. If you do not own a GoPro and are looking for a Vlog camera or simply a camera to capture your adventures, then look no more. Both the pictures and videos that this camera can produce will make people think you are using a much more expensive camera

If you notice anything on this new gopro its the new operating system. Its snappier, more efficiant and will last a bit longer in most cases. I HIGHLY recomend a 256 gig card which will give you plenty of room to shoot everything. Simply turning the camera on is faster, the video feels cleaner, and HDR mode is fantastic. Is this night and day from the 11? No. But if you are looking for the best gopro has put out, this is it. The max lens mod2 is a massive leap forward! Its worth the upgrade for the performance boost if you are squeesing all you can out of your gopro. Everything just feels a little better. Again, not night and day!!!! But enough to make it worth it. Enjoy making films everyone!!! Keep creating!!!

Apparently GoPro did a lot of work to increase battery life, freezing and some over-heating issues and this does seem to have made a difference over the Hero11. Also they removed real-time GPS on this one - not an issue for most people but good to know,

Just upgraded to the GoPro Hero 11 Black and it's phenomenal! The video quality is stunning, especially in good lighting—crisp, vibrant, and full of detail. I'm amazed by the HyperSmooth 5.0 stabilization; it makes even the roughest action shots look smooth. The HyperView mode is a game-changer for wide-angle shots, adding a dramatic feel to my videos. It's incredibly user-friendly and the app integration makes editing a breeze. Hands down, the best action camera I've owned!

FINALLY A GOPRO THAT DOESNT OVERHEAT AND ACTUALLY DOES WHAT IT SAYS. You will get an hour and a half in 5.3k and not have to worry about it shiiting off. New power management system saved them a company

The go pro is such a simple, small, easy to use camera that is easy to take where ever and when ever. Video quality is awesome and is just such a user friendly device. My only recommendation is to buy a waterproof case for actual submerging.

I purchased GoPro Hero12 for my motorcycle trip and it has exceeded all my expectations. The video quality is incredibly sharp, even in hast-moving. The image stabilization is truly impressive. it keeps every shot smooth and professional looking. the camera is compact, durable, and perfect for travel, outdoor adventures and everyday use. overall very please for the hero 12.
