I first took the gopro HERO4 out and noticed the Awesome picture quality and resolution. When I downloaded the Apple quicktime player and the Gopro app Things went from ok to WOW. I started playing with editing. cropping and slow motion with the video feed and mixing things up. I then started working on my bike routs and safety gear (which is why I bought the gopro in the first place) and it wasn't long I was able to show just how bad Portland Oregon drivers are and how unsafe it is for us right now on some of the busy streets. The Gopro hero 4 has been one of the best tools that I've purchased for my daily cycling. If someone runs me over at least we know who to look for. Thanks Gopro. Ride safe everyone

I got this for a little r/c drone, I have even had a few lite crashes and it is still in great shape, I liked how small it was. Setup is easy, and even easier if you pair it with a phone and work it remotely. Really I think the only think I'm not sure I care for is that you can't have a spare battery what it has is all you get, but so far it's not a problem my flight time is only 15 to 20 minutes, so I'm really not even sure how long the battery will last in it.

The GoPro Session is the cutest and most powerful HD video camera on the market. It is small enough to slip in your pocket and durable enough to withstand even the most extreme sports. The only drawback I would say is low FPS if you are looking to do slow motion videos.

I love this camera. I previously had the 3+ Black edition and am thrilled to now be using the Session. There is a slight step down in video capture capability, but the price, ease of use, and (most of all) form factor easily make up for it in my opinion. I'm a helicopter pilot and use the camera on my helmet, attach it in the cockpit and all over the outside of the helicopter. Having a smaller, simpler functioning cam is key for me when I'm flying because I don't need something complicated and bulky taking my attention away from flying. Only drawback that I see is the lack of protection on the lens as opposed to the full sized models.

This camera has great video quality and decent sound. It is also waterproof without an extra case. I used while snorkeling in Mexico on a cruise and I have nothing bad to say about it. You will need to get a micro SD card as it doesn't have any internal memory. I recommend SanDisk extream.

I installed one of these on a customer of mine's car because someone repeatedly broke into it. It worked out so well that this customer is doing her other vehicle as well. I tried two other brands before realizing that this camera was perfect for the job. Would love to sell these in my store and will be using many more in the future.

    High Quality Entry Level Camera

GoPro Hero4 Session Review If you are an action sport or outdoor enthusiast looking for a high quality, entry-level action camera that won’t break the bank, the GoPro Hero4 Session is perfect for you. Whether you are surfing, snowboarding, dirt biking, or snorkeling, the GoPro Hero4 Session will capture every moment in stunning HD quality. The Hero4 Session steps up to the plate when it comes to video quality, durability and size. Video Quality The GoPro Hero4 Session is the smallest camera in the GoPro lineup and produces the same professional quality videos for half the price of the higher-end models. With the ability to film up to 1440p at 60fps, this GoPro won’t miss a second of the action. There are multiple settings that allow you to take full advantage of the 8MP camera. Videos, pictures, and time lapses can be shot at 720p, 1080p, 1080p Superview and 1440p. While in Puerto Rico on vacation I filmed everything in 1080p Superview and was very pleased with the quality of the Hero4 Session. I have attached a link to the footage I gathered on my trip to Puerto Rico, as well as screenshots of my video. Durability Unlike all other GoPros, the Hero4 Session is completely waterproof; there is no need for a separate housing to make it waterproof. The outer shell is made a very durable, high quality plastic that can withstand any action sport. There is a built-in battery that will easily allow for all day recording. The lens covers are made of high quality Guerilla Glass and are very scratch resistant. Size The camera is smaller than the others in GoPro’s lineup, allowing it to be mounted and taken places no other action camera can. Since the Hero4 Session comes in such a small form factor, there is no room for a viewing screen to see what you are recording. All other GoPro models have screens; however, the Hero4 Session can easily be hooked up to the free GoPro app, which allows the mobile device to act as a screen for the camera. Conslusion I was very pleased with my purchase and look forward to trying out GoPro’s higher-end cameras. With the recent drop in price, the Hero4 Session is GoPro’s most budget friendly camera. The stunning HD video, durability and size make this the perfect entry-level camera for thrill seekers and outdoor enthusiast. Having other Go Pro cameras, I bought this model for my daughter to take to Costa Rica with and must say I am totally surprised at the quality of the video and sound. It is very easy to use ,small, and waterproof with no extra case. Does it compare to the $500 Black model ? No, but for the price ,this camera exceeds its value. It is so easy to just grab and start recording that it gets used more than the other cameras.

The Hero Session is a great small, lightweight, video camera/camera. It takes a little getting use(1 hr) to with the button functions but once you do extremely easy to use. Great out of the box but works the best with the other mountable options (head strap, chest strap). I am a full time fly fishing guide and I cannot wait to capture even more of our outings! It has it's own wifi signal so you can connect your phone or tablet to open up even more functions and controls. The one negative thing I would have to say is that there is no removable battery so battery life can be limited if away from a power source, but from what I have used so far I have had no issue.

I bought this for my son who turned 13, he races dirt bikes and has since receding this gift used it several times, he loves it ! The video is of great quality, and it's easy to use ! He purchased a device to clip it to on his chest as well, both work well, much better than the original go pro and a lot less bulky !

This was our first camera, and we bought it for Valentine's day 2 years ago. It has been a great entry level camera since then. The footage underwater looks great, the price was reasonable for the product quality. Make sure to use the free app, because otherwise you will not be able to preview the footage directly from the camera. Also, my only complaint is that shortly after purchasing it, the camera would take a few seconds to turn on, then shut off, and then turn on again and proceed to record. The time between shutting off and turning on the second time to start recording eventually grew in length after months of the problem. After all the updates and phone calls with customer service, nothing was done to replace/fix the camera even with its one year warranty. Things I purchased through another website for this product include a micro SD card and a travel case. Once you have those things you will be ready to start your own adventure.

    Good camera, challenging website support

Be warned - I am a novice at cameras. So all my claims should be filtered with this in mind. Bought this "newer" GoPro version for my wife's dream sled dog vacation. The smaller design, single button to start recording were important features to us. Found out all controls can be accessed through a tedious menu on the camera or MUCH easier on the GoPro app downloaded to your phone. This app worked great, but you need to be used to pairing up devices to your phone. We used a SanDisk - Extreme Plus 64GB microSDXC UHS-I Class U-1 Memory Card - Red/Gold. This recorded an hour of dog sledding at the 1080p Superview Mode taking up ~13GB. Battery was flashing low after being in the cold for an hour. I guess that is to be expected. Did I mention I am a novice? So it turns out you do need to do some post process video editing to get the quality out of the video you take. The default quality is set for YouTube uploading, which looks awful in my opinion. Downloading the free GoPro Studio video editing software is a massive challenge. The website support links are not intuitive, dont seem to go anywhere half the time. It almost seems like the website has been hacked. I tried to find the software again on my laptop and could not find it. Maybe its just me... Anyway, the software walks you through a simple 3 step editing process. The highest export quality does not seem to come close to what the website and commercials show. I suspect you REALLY need to know cameras and lighting and all that stuff to get top quality results. All the advanced controls are accessible, but remember... novice. Shouldn't be a big surprise I guess, but I was kinda hoping it would be click-click :) Final quality we got is nice but not jaw dropping.

This is the best GoPro I have ever bought! It is super small and convenient to take anywhere. I sold my GoPro Hero 3 for this one, and am glad I did. It mounts great to my Jet Ski and is super durable. It shoots in many different modes and connects to my iPhone great. Awesome product for the price!

I love how compact this is, and the fact that I can't really tell I'm wearing it. It is super easy to start recording with the single button fuctionality. A few things that I do have issue with is that the camera would just stop recording even though I hadn't pushed the button to stop it and there was plenty of battery/memory left on the camera/card. Could be that I need to update the camera with the latest firmware but I'm not positive. The other issue was that the video was a bit shaky at times almost like its lagging, not sure if thats just because the card can't keep up with it or if its the camera itself, but I was using a 64GB Sandisk Extreme Plus as suggested by GoPro.

Loving every minute of MY Session. The only problem I have is wind noise. Both on Cannibal at Lagoon Amusement Park, and on my (Daughters) motorcycle. But the video rocks. Wish I knew more about the GoPro editing software, as I am using the Windows version of video editing software. Time to pull up a YouTube video. My GoPro Hero 4 Silver was a nightmare to operate, not the Session. One button and even old folk like me can produce high quality video.

Love the size of this thing. Small and fits nice on a mono-pole. It also rides great in the car on the windshield. I was able to shoot video through the windshield in direct sunlight with great results. The interface with the iPad is perfect to control it. Had a little trouble with the minimalistic buttons and connecting to my phone instead of the iPad when it was in the vicinity. Then again, I hate everything that is automatic. If you are looking for a great camera on the go... (I.E. GoPro) then this is for you. I did purchase some lens protectors since there is no protective case for the camera.

I love the camera. I've taken it track driving, off roading, hiking and swimming. The camera shots all look great. I'm sure you can nitpick a few things but all in all a great camera. Love the water shots. I like the way it's waterproof without having to buy a separate housing. The small size is fantastic and it's simple to operate. When off roading I just hook it up to wifi and operate the camera with the cell phone. You can view exactly what the camera sees and then stop and start the recording. The only downside is the screen cracked in the first month. I'm not exactly sure how it happened but some type of rock or something must have hit it when I was off roading It does have replacement lenses but I hate to already have to pay $40 extra for them.
