Great camera - opens up new creative possibilities

I picked this camera up for more creative shooting using the 360º mode. This camera truly doesn't disappoint. Besides using both cameras for 360 mode, you can use the front and back cameras independently in HERO mode by tapping a specific item on the screen. The coolest thing about this camera is being able to re-compose photos after shooting to get either the shot you want or to toy around with cool effects the 360º camera provides, just be aware that there's some stitching the goes on so you may notice a visible line where the 2 photos / videos line up. I also have the Hero 10 Black and have difficulties figuring out which camera to use a t times since the 10 is a much better camera overall, but obviously does not have the dual camera set-up. The only complaint I have of this camera is the protective lenses tend to collect dust quickly and may produce reflections in your shot so you'll need to be aware of the sun and how that might affect your shots. Using the app allows you to create panning videos by setting keyframes to automate your videos but can be a little time consuming. That being said, if you already have a workflow using Quik because you have other GoPro cameras, the MAX is no different and will work seamlessly using that simple app. An additional benefit is if you have the GoPro subscription, this camera is covered (last I checked) by their replacement policy which means you can use it without fear of damaging it with an active subscription so this alone was well worth selecting this camera over the Insta360 (understanding the Insta360 is both newer and takes a much more modern approach). I love this thing for specific types of activities or for specific types of creative shots. If you're more of grabbing shots

I use this camera daily, getting into content and It’s great. Its hard to mis a shot with the 360 degrees. What you have to look out for is the clipping on either side of the 360 video or picture since there arent cameras on the side, it can come out distorted. The built in mount on the bottom works with a bunch of equipment ive invested in. Overall great action camera.

The camera is amazing for outdoor activities I just recommend it for it, but unfortunately underwater is terrible, the image is blurry. For me that bought it for snorkeling I’ve been very disappointed with GoPro.

Only reason why i gave it a 4 star versus a 5 star is due to its bulkyness. Compared to some others like the insta 360 its very bulky and it gets annoyinging carrying around or mounting it to my bike. Otherwise its amazing video quality is great and sound quality is amazing! Im not sure if it was just mine but the battery life on it was terrible so i had to buy a extra one. Im not sure if its all of them but i know mine was like that. Either way for the price its an amazing camera!

    Good upgrade to GoPro system

A good upgrade to the GoPro system with the potential of 360 views from the two lenses. Battery life is so so like most GoPro. The focuses pretty quick and the saturation of the colors and the sharpness of the picture are very good. Most of the photos are in the wide range of view. The GoPro system for downloading the photos is pretty seamless. The only issue is it’s response to vocal commands, frequently. It’s a bit erratic, but I don’t think that is particular to just this camera.

    Impressive Performance & Immersive Footage

I recently had the opportunity to use the GoPro Max, and my experience with this 360-degree camera was overwhelmingly positive. From capturing stunning 5.6K footage in all directions to its user-friendly features, the GoPro Max left a lasting impression. While the shape of the camera could be slimmer, it did not overshadow the exceptional performance and features this camera offers. First and foremost, the GoPro Max excels in delivering high-quality footage. Its 5.6K resolution ensures that every detail is captured with impressive clarity. Whether recording action-packed adventures or scenic landscapes, the Max produces immersive videos that truly transport viewers to the captured moment. The camera's ability to shoot in all directions allows for a unique perspective, making the footage even more engaging and dynamic. One aspect that stood out to me was the user-friendly nature of the GoPro Max. Unlike its predecessor, the Fusion, the Max eliminates the need for dual memory cards, simplifying the recording process and saving time. Additionally, the camera's intuitive software enhances the overall user experience, making it easy to navigate settings and access features. Furthermore, the GoPro Max competes well with its rivals, such as the Insta360 One X[1]. While the shape of the Max may be slightly bulkier compared to some competitor cameras, its performance and capabilities make up for it. The Max's impressive image quality and seamless stitching of 360-degree footage set it apart from the competition. In terms of portability, although the GoPro Max may be slightly less slim than some rival cameras, it remains highly portable and convenient for on-the-go use. Its compact size allows for easy packing, and its durable build ensures it can withstand various environmental conditions. Whether I was hiking, biking, or exploring, the GoPro Max was a reliable companion that never hindered my adventures. To summarize, the GoPro Max is a remarkable 360-degree camera that delivers outstanding performance and captures immersive footage. Its 5.6K resolution, user-friendly features, and seamless stitching make it a standout choice for enthusiasts and professionals alike. While the camera's shape could be slimmer, it should not deter potential buyers from experiencing the incredible capabilities and versatility of the GoPro Max.

The battery dies way too fast. But a spare battery could fix that issue. Just wish you can record more without the battery dying all the time. The lens got scratched very quick, so i recommend people to use a protector cover for it. Other than that, the videos and 360 viewer is pretty clean and high quality.

I love this go pro and i use it for riding on my motorcylce but one thing i dislike the most about it is the battery life. 60 minutes isnt a lot especially on a bike ride so if you do get this, i highly recommend getting more batteries for it

Great camera and excellent video! The playback is super crisp and sharp, surprisingly so. I've recorded using the chest harness and head strap, and each fits comfortably and performs well. At first, though, the harness attachments aren't very intuitive nor while reading the instruction manual, so I had to YouTube how to attach the camera to the chest harness. Some other flaws are the loading of the camera battery. Please read the instruction manual before opening and loading the battery. And to unlock the battery compartment was extremely difficult the first time and not very intuitive. Make sure you read the instruction manual or ask someone who has one (or ask a Best Buy professional, which I did).

This camera is not the only camera you take with you in your trip or event. It’s a complement, the additional camera to make interesting 360 videos or pictures. The quality of the pictures and videos is good, but not the best. I bought this camera before a long trip, and I have enjoyed taking occasional 360 videos or pictures, but only after I take pictures with my professional camera.

Just now figuring it out. Going on vacation. So far, its good. Con with this product is that it does not have a go pro casing. Have to buy aftermarket. Which sucks bc if the camera malfunctions w aftermarket case; would the factory warranty be void?

on a full battery's charge you can get a spectacular amount of time filming. The camera does get a bit hot running 360 video for prolonged periods of time, but I feel like in water or in action it's negligible.
