This is a good game. I think it got undeserved hate. Mainly because a lot of people were comparing it directly to the Batman Arkham games. Once you accept this NOT a Arkham game and instead is it's own thing, it becomes very enjoyable. Hope we get a sequel in the future.

After so many negative reviews, I thought let me try this out for myself.
I had a great time with my family & friends on this.
Lot of collectibles & upgrading.
Big city to travel in.
Really good plot.
2 player story co-op
3 player horde.
I really expected a 2/5 game but it wasnt that at all.

I wouldn't say it's an excellent game, but I wouldn't say it's terrible, either, like many online reviews color it to be.
The movement/controls could be tightened up and smoothed out, but combat is overall quite good. The city is large without fewling unnecessarily huge. There are plenty ways to get around the city. My main criticism is that, while each hero has his/her own abilities, they all feel pretty similar in combat. Their uniqueness is mostly highlighted in the way they approach non-combat obstacles. Their unlockable abilities do help to mitigate the single-button combat, but it can feel a bit boring at the beginning.
The combat honestly reminds me a bit of Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Which isnt a bad thing, necessarily. I really enjoyed the combat in the modern AC games. I think AC:O combat was tighter, more fluid, more fleshed out, though. And Gotham Knights apparently lacks the ability to parry or block, only dodging is possible, but it's still similar.
All in all, I have been enjoying the game, and despite all the hate toward it, its certainly worth picking up when it's on sale, especially if you enjoyed AC Odyssey and/ or Valhalla. Maybe that's the problem...people are comparing it to the Arkham games and hating it because it's not like those. This definitely isn't an Arkham Batman game. I do wish there was a bit more gadgetry in Gotham Knights. But yeah, anyway, I enjoy this game for what it is, instead of hating it for what it isn't.
It’s fun enough for the causal gamer and casual DC

I must say that this game is pretty fun (all things considered). Graphically it is a solid 8 with built in raytracing but it lacks 60fps / 120fps support for a more dynamic next gen experience. The story mode is a lot shorter and less involved compared to the Arkham series, making it more suitable for casual gamers. The scale of open world environment (although only 1/4 the size of GTA 5) would do well to have a DLC expansion with more boss characters and hidden locations. Overall not as bad most of the reviews mad it seem. 3/5

I was a worried at first when the game was released, mainly to the 30 fps issue. But having now played 5 hours of the game, it hasn’t bothered my experience at all . The city of Gotham feels and looks like what you’ve seen in the comics, tv shows and movies, the characters too . The police in particular are something to experience that things have taken such a big change for the worse. And the story is really good !

Had doubts from this game after reviews and performance issues but gave it w chance after being initially hyped and can honestly say this game is really good, the graphics the combat, the city is great, while not better than any of the Arkham games this is still a really good superhero game and would recommend it. Just give it 60fps to make the game feel more next gen and smoother and i think this is a 5 star game

Despite the brutal reviews online, the game is actually a solid game and a good story. Yes the combat is redundant and the movement a little clunky at times. The key takeaway is it's not it's not Arkham Knight, but that was never then intent with this game. Think of it like this … It's more like Arkham the Assassins Creed version with less bloat; if you like modern AC games you'll probably enjoy this game.

It’s a pretty good game. I didn’t know about the game but it was on sale and I was thinking about giving it a chance. Best decision I’ve made. It’s a good game and so far the story, the graphics, the feel of the game is great.

Im really enjoying this game. Not a fan of the gear system but the gameplay and world of the game is neat. As a huge Batman fan, its really cool to see how this universe is different from the ones we generally know.

Not quite the return to Arkham series I wanted and doesn’t hold up in comparison. HOWEVER, this game does so much the other games don’t the sandbox open world and the fact that the entire game is Co-Op makes it a game changer. Great variety and diversity for any play style, interesting world and story, very grindy for challenges, loot and experience. New content for the game was free and added 4 play co-op as well as more bosses and fighting scenarios. My biggest problem is the price, it doesn’t feel right paying that much when this game could uave done so much more.
