This is great for cooking. Makes cooking so much easier and my meat comes out nice color and soft. This is very convenient since it helps me not to burn my food. Highly reccomend this!

Best steak I have ever had and pre thru to clean up is super easy. Beef shoulder at 136F for 4 hours is amazing. Don't forget to sear it before you eat it.

I love the finished product with the Gourmia Sous Vide Pod, but the learning curve is tough. The instructions are not user friendly in my opinion. This creates a trial and error scenario for some of the food you wish to cook. The whole purpose is to have it perfectly cooked when it comes from the water bath. Other Sous Vide Pods are more precise in the directions.

Exactly what I was hoping for and more. Buy one quick.

Took it back after about two weeks, this thing sounded like an outboard motor. Keep in mind a souve is intended to run for hours, but it was so loud we couldn’t find anyplace in the house to put it that wasn’t annoying. The downstairs bedroom closet might have worked, but there wasn’t an outlet, and it would have been awfully inconvenient. Turned us off on the whole souve thing.

I ordered this sous vide because a friend recommended it. I am a bit of a sous vide expert already because I already own a sous vide machine and since I use it multiple times a week and entertain frequently I decided to add a second one to my kitchen. This way I can sous vide vegetables at the same time (which have to cook at a higher temperature than beef and chicken and typically for longer ). The Gourmia has some very nice and convenient features that I noticed right away. 1. It has a spring clamp which makes attaching the sous vide to a pot or rubbermaid tub very fast and easy. 2. No detachable pieces--super easy for cleanup and storage and no need to locate different parts. 3. Easy to use and reaches cooking temperatures very fast. And, lastly, the modern design is pretty and sleek and looks great in my kitchen! Some things to note when cooking with sous vide--I like to put my pots or tubs that I'm cooking sous vide with on top of my stovetop grates--UNLIT of course. I do this because the temperature of the pots can get very hot and can either crack or melt your countertop if not properly protected. If you are using your stovetop or don't want to put the pots on your stovetop make sure that you put a couple of folded towels between your pot and counter so it doesn't let the counter get too hot. Sous Vide cooking is by far my favorite method of cooking. Steaks come out tender every time--and we finish them on the grill or with the searzall. Chicken breast-you have never had a more juicy chicken breast than a sous vide chicken breast, and really everything sous vide is delicious.

The Gourmia - Immersion Sous Vide Pod, is easy to use and very well made. I would definitely recommend it to my friends.
