Great Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great game to kill time. Would be nice if it saved your game more often. Sometimes there are certain cars that you put inside your garage and they are not there when you go to get them. Other times your vehicle will get stuck when you need it to complete a mission. Not enough violence like the previous versions. Jacking a car is boring unlike the other GTA early games.

Great game easy to follow storyline
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have still not completed story line but I know enough from previous GTA's that this map is so much better. You do not have to beat certain missions to get to certain parts of the map. The entire map is open from the get go. In story mode you are introduced to three different characters and at any given time switch between them. Cops in this game are alot more harder to beat. They finally learned how to aim and shoot and they dont play nice. But the game gives you plenty of chance to beat the cops by hiding out and avoiding them hence lowering your wanted star status. Overall great game. One con is the audio which could be my settings but it seems I have to turn up the volume when the characters speak.

Extremely Fun and HOURS of fun!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everything you heard about this game...is true. It's amazingly fun and to the point of not wanting to turn it off. Plenty of things to do in the game if you get bored of the story line. Although it does take a brief moment to familiarize yourself with the controls, the game is extremely fun and a blockbuster hit. IT IS A MUST HAVE GAME. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent Game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Grand Theft Auto 5 is an excellent game. As everyone knows its not recommended for children under 17. I highly recommend that children under 17 do not play this game there is a lot of vulgar language, nudity, and drug content. Overall an excellent game and the switching between characters is just a awesome experience it feels like your playing 3 different games!

Awesome game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Game overall is pretty awesome, there's a lot of things to do. Missions are pretty interesting and it's cool that you get to use three different guys so you get different perspectives and the map is pretty big so you have gameplay for hours. Only thing is the graphics didn't change much but it's not like they are horrible so not exactly a fail. Get the game!

Best Gameplay around. Mediocre story.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Grand Theft Auto V is both the best 'GTA' game so far, as well as the most disappointing. This game finally realizes the promise of all the past GTA games' breadth of gameplay. The previous entries always fell short in depth of individual systems (lots of stuff to do, but none of them implemented perfectly), but this time around the level of quality is pretty great across the board. Whether you're shooting from car to car in a high speed chase, scrambling over fences and buildings in an on-foot pursuit, playing a friendly game of tennis, or diving to explore a coral reef, the controls and playability will be excellent. Ideally, this would be the game everyone would turn to for fantastic free-form fun. Which brings me to the disappointment. GTA V allows players to switch between 3 separate protagonists at any time, and this is a great system that also has a lot of potential for a really interesting storyline. The game design and mission structures leverage this feature very well, but the writing doesn't do a whole lot different than what past GTA games have done. Each character is unique, but each is also ultimately just a different stereotype that we've seen already. Their dialog is equally uninteresting as well as so absurdly laced with racial slurs that trying to play the game in the company of mature adults, or even just within earshot of a spouse, can be downright embarrassing. It sounds as though some lines, and even some entire characters, were written by a middle-school kid awkwardly trying to relate to urban culture. At no point should this game be played by a child, and that is to be expected... but just because the box says "Mature" on the front, don't expect that term to accurately describe the content. The characters and storyline are juvenile at best, and I think that the average player deserves better than that. In Summary: The Best Playing GTA game yet, but if you're going to play with someone else in the room you might find yourself playing with headphones or just muting the dialog altogether. Also, I shouldn't really have to say this but this game is in no way appropriate for children. I would hesitate to get this game for even older teens. Ratings exist for a reason. I really dread hearing the dialog in this game being mimicked back at me by elementary-aged children once the online portion of the game goes live...

Great game if new to the title
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great game if you are new to Grand Theft Auto. I have played all the games in the series and this one is by far the best. The story gets you caught up in so far for me three different playable people who have totally different goals to meet and that makes it like you are starting a new game every time you switch. Go buy and play play, play, on!

Epic!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Arguably the best game Rockstar has put out. Compelling story line, great characters, awesome game play. The 3 character system is fresh and provides another angle of gameplay. The two minor flaws with this game include the radio stations (need more good songs ie San Andreas) and some of the fetch missions get tedious. Other than that a home run!

Excellent game. Detailed world. Open gameplay.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent game. Wide open game play, detailed . Amazing. You can stick to the missions or explore on your own, in your own time. There are so many possibilities here. Not for the casual gamer, though. Some of the missions are difficult. And driving at high speed can cause you to lose control and it's frustrating. But overall, recommended.

A Mixed Bag So Far, But I've only just begun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've only just begun on this title, but it didn't suck me in the way GTA 3 and 4 did. I could play those for HOURS and not even do any missions. With GTA 5, you almost NEED the missions to have any real fun. Luckily there are 4 playable characters, each with his own different life and friends and enemies, and it looks like you can jump between the 4 story lines at any time with a few button taps. GTA Online, for GTA5 isn't yet playable...I guess they are still working on it??? But I think it will be pretty amazing, that is if the hackers who plagued GTA4 online will stay away. My only other complaint at this early stage is that good cheats are hard to come by so far, especially for weapons. Oh yeah, and I dare say the map may be a little TOO big. City driving is awesome with LOTS of street variety, plus TONS of buildings and storefronts. Highway driving at night is BORING as hell. Twisted dirt roads that lead to remote locations also seem like a snooze-fest. If you are a hardcore GTA fan, buy it for the graphics and the missions. If you are on the fence about it, I'd watch some youtube vids of the game first. Finally, this game is full of Adult Language, f-bombs and the n-word are pretty commonplace, so take notice.

Very fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Rockstar has done it again. Brilliant gameplay. Great missions. Love the new features like car modification and weapon modification. Giant map for hours of exploration. I find something new everyday. Cant wait for the online world to open. Used to have a 360 but got rid of it and kept the PS3. This game on the ps3 proves i made the correct decision.

You can't see it as a game, but a piece of art
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Given the limitation of the PS3, Take Two managed to push the game to the limit or beyond. This game is the culmination of all the GTA series. It is an ambitious attempt to expand the story line into three characters, and intricately linked them together without having the player feeling any disconnect to the overall plot. The level of details are truly astonishing. It is not only a game, but also a satire of the 21st century society, and not many games are able to make the game play fun, but also reflect the trend or what is wrong with the current society. For example, one mission requires the player to infiltrate a tech company, and plant a bomb on a prototype phone. While you are inside, it reminds me of all those Silicon Valley tech companies' culture such as the laid back geeky attitude of the employees, open office space, game room in the office, etc. The only disappointing part of the game is the graphics, it's not so much different from the last game, but that doesn't take away anything from it. I just can't imagine how Take Two and Rockstar can top this game in the future GTA series. This game is worth playing multiple times, because I bet there are things that will always be overlooked.

4 games in 1
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.GTA 5 is a great game to set the sunset on PS3 with great graphics and the best storyline I've been able to enjoy for a long time. There's so much to do and it's as if you are getting 4 or 5 games in one. You can play tennis, golf, customize weapons, and the best part yet, customize your vehicles. There are many side missions and great characterization with Michael and Franklin. You go right into the game with a heist and then it zips ahead 9 years later with Franklin. At first, I didn't really want to find out a lot about Franklin because Michael was a bad dude and he seemed pretty cool, but after spending the first hour as Franklin and learning some of his background, you get an entirely different respect for the character. The heist in the game remind me of several movies including, "Heist", "Heat", "Point Break", "and "The Score". You scope out the building, then hire your "crew", then you take the place down using one of several different options. To this point, I am surely going to find myself spending much more time learning more and more aspects of GTA 5. This game has a high replay value and is surely going to cause me some hand joint pain. Happy Trails to you til we meet again.
