Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed it, but it kinda' felt like the same things kept happening over and over and over... Also it was a little hard to believe that the shuttle, the ISS and China's space station would be magically in alignment as they orbited the earth at 18,000 miles per hour. If you can get beyond that, it was enjoyable, especially considering the 3D and visual effects.

...It would be 'Gravity.' And I mean that as the highest possible compliment! With this movie, Alfonso Cuaron has created the kind of film experience that's actually worth going to the movies for! Amazing film direction, great acting, and a riveting 'What's going to happen next?' pacing make watching this thrilling from start to finish! I can easily say this ranks up there with such classic space adventures as "2001: A Space Odyssey," "Alien," and "Aliens." If you can see it in theaters, go! If not, get this and watch it on the biggest screen possible!

I sat in front of my 55 inch Panasonic Plasma I got a Best Buy when I moved to Florida. Had some nuts and a drink ready for a movie I had heard so much about. In a flash it was over. Then I realized it was 90 minutes later. OMG I didn't even hit pause to go for a bathroom break, it held my attention for the full 90 minutes. Sandra Bullock should get an award for this, it was amazing. At first my 3D player didn't play it, then I remember what the guy at the Geek Squad told me about updating the software and it worked perfectly after that. Thanks guys.

This movie isn't as good as it was in theaters, but still the movie is fantastic! It's a must see! This movies keeps you on the edge of your seat it's just so intense. The Acting is great, the special effects are great people have complained about the story line but I just loved this movie! The packaging is normal packaging but still great. I would definitely suggest buying this movie on Blu Ray as the movie is mostly special effects and it looks better in high definition. The movie also won 7 Oscars this year and was even nominated for Best Picture.

I bought this movie because I heard the 3D effects in it are great. I do not usually buy movies -prefer renting them- but decided to try the 3D feature in my new TV. I have seen several 3D movies before, but this movie is really one of the best I have seen in terms of 3D effects. The astronaut's glass helmet depth feel was an example of a fun 3D effect with care about details. Some scenes show floating pens and water drops. That was cool as well. The movie in general is entertaining, nothing really out of the world, but I was not impressed by Sandra's acting.

When I saw the first teaser for this, I was intrigued by the premise but feared it would be a retread of 'Cast Away'. Thankfully, that is not the case. At 91 minutes, Gravity does not overstay its welcome. The story moves along at a brisk pace, and you feel each setback the characters experience as if you're actually there. Heavy on metaphor, but not detrimentally so. A definite must-watch. The included special features are insightful and enjoyable. Easily one of the most feature-packed sets in recent memory and one of the better values.

Very short film with basically only two actors. Script is very basic with some technical "holes". Acting is average, with Sandra Bullock having the edge on Clooney. The 3D and CG effects are very good. Overall I would rate the film as "good" with some weaknesses. A much stronger script and better directing may have helped the film overall and probably would have aided the actors in their performances. I would recommend taking a look at it and making your own judgment.

It seems that most people are 50/50 on this movie! I thought the filming was great the special effects even better! It walked a very thin line from science to science fiction! I watched the movie two days before I visited the Kennedy Space Center LOL! Kinda very me a new respect for the individuals that go up there and the people that support them! Overall the Blu-ray experience with this product was excellent! I loved all the extras they threw on the this disc. The negative; I wished it was itunes friendly not NOT Ultraviolet.

Some science had to be adjusted in order to communicate with the audience. For example, there's no way you could see the debris coming because if it was as slow as it was in the movie, it wouldn't have enough energy to do any damage. I'm sure it was slowed down for the sake of the audience. Still, awesome performance by what's her name, though the dude's calm demeanor when facing his mortality was just not believable. Seriously though, I did like this movie.

Although this film is amazing visually, with solid perfomances, intensity and realism. It seemed to be to rushed and diluted at times with the story and character development and back story. I do feel it deserves Oscar nominations for directing, editing, design, sound, cinematography, and visual effects. The performances were what I would have come to expect from the two leads, but based off the other Oscar nominated performances and films, I can only give this movie an 8/10, worth watching, absolutiley, but not Ocscar worthy.

Like I said above, I never got to see this in theaters, and I went to best buy to pick up thor, they had a little set up for it, I just got a new 3D TV, also from best buy, and thought I'll see this, maybe it will be good. And it was, a beautiful movie. Edge of your seat the whole time. And the features awesome! 3hrs of extra features! The only other thing I saw wrong with it, is iI could see how it kinda loses the BANG after you watch it once, but I've haven't had the chance to watch it again yet. You should get this movie!

I thought this the movie Gravity was very well put together. With basically only two characters in this movie, it did not bore me at all. The story line is something that could possibly happen, therefore kept me on the edge if my seat for about 75% of the movie. The 3-D affects we're awesome! I watched this twice, and it was just as full of anxiety as the first time I watched it. If your an outer space freak, it is definitely worth the watch...and even if your not! Highly recommend this movie for a movie library!

This is one of those movies that starts out slow with astronauts working on the Hubble telescope in space. Both George Clooney, an expert astronaut and Sandra Bullock, an expert Medical engineer, give great acting performances. Without giving too much of the plot away, let's just say that "all hell breaks loose" a few minutes into the movie. From then on its a roller coaster to survive against all odds. If you like space type movies with a great plot, then I recommend watching this movie on Blue Ray of course.

This feature will keep you on the edge of your seat through carefully implemented story-lines, plot twists, and action scenes. Clooney and Bullock work well together in this space adventure. In my opinion this is clearly one of the best movies of 2013. Even if you are unsure of your interest, it will not disappoint. It wasn't an issue for me; however, some of the shots are from first-person point of view and reflect actual space movements. Caution is advised if you are strongly prone to motion sickness.

What is there left to say about Gravity? Cuaron made one of the most technically ambitious films of the 21st century and built it around one of our best actresses - it works on every level. And, goodness, the music; Gravity has one of the most effective scores I've heard in years. The making-of documentary included on the disc is so comprehensive and fascinating that it almost runs the risk of imparting too much information, but it certainly enhances your appreciation for what the film accomplished.

Seriously, my husband and I were on the edge of our seats watching this movie. It was an intense drama, and I think Sandra Bullock should get an award for her performance. The extras were great also. They show you how they did the scenes, which I love to know. Was very interesting... Word of warning: Go to language and set the closed captioning cause there are times that the audio is waaaaaay low,( one time at the very beginning of the film), and you will miss what is being said if the CC is off.....

When I watched Alfanso Cuaron's Children of Men, I knew this filmmaker would continue to make films that resonate. Bullock and Clooney perform well, but honestly they could be replaced by most actors and this movie would still be a masterpiece. The storytelling and direction are what sets this movie apart and the suspense and gratification of this movie experience is all-consuming. Lastly, if you like 3D tech at any capacity, this film provides the highest echelon the art form can currently achieve.

I tend to not buy disc movies anymore, but this is such a well scripted story & great acting I had to get it into my library. The 3D is fantastic, without being overdone as so many other cheesy 3D movies. I have a hi-end audiophile sound system that is very revealing, and it shows surround sound quality here on this one is above average. My Sony 4K UHD upscaling of this Blu-ray HD disc works unusually well, which is testament to the HD quality video that it has to begin with on this disc.

Great acting, fantastic views and backgrounds, a truth based story line, heroism and sacrifice, and the main character's rebirth in action and belief. What more could you want in a movie? Oh, by the way, the second bonus program - detailing the making of the movie and identifying one of the major problems currently facing our information and communication based economy - is worth the purchase price alone. You must see, and re-watch, this timely and thought provoking movie.

I saw this movie in the theater and loved it and wanted too get in on Blu-Ray because i read that reviewers use this movie to demo and test sound systems audio. A 5.1 or 7.1, or a 5.1.2 sound system really shines with this movie. You can hear every little sound coming from all directions. The video quality is just as amazing as the sound quality. This is a good movie not only to watch, but to show off your home theater system as well.
