It is a cheaper option as batteries can be quite expensive depending on which battery it is. One of the many benefits of the Greenworks 80V platform is the interchangeability of the batteries. If additional batteries are purchased in a combo pack (tool + battery) for another Greenworks 80V tool, you will have extra battery that would provide you with the additional run time. Alternatively, extra batteries can be purchased to extend the run time. This unit is compatible with 80V Greenworks batteries (only). Hello Salman. Thank you for reaching out to Greenworks! We are concerned to read you are unhappy with the runtime you are getting with the 80V 2Ah battery. It is important to recognize that the run time depends on the load acting against the unit and fluctuates depending on the height setting, the terrain, grass height, type of grass, whether you are mulching, operator technique, etc. - there are so many factors to consider. The harder the unit must work, the quicker the battery charge will drain. Similar to how the gas in a vehicle will deplete quicker when driving at higher speeds or carrying more weight. While the 2.0Ah battery is compatible and can be used with the 80V lawn mower it will not provide optimal run time. We recommend a 4.0Ah battery or higher for a lawn mower. While we only work with the highest quality products, nothing is always perfect but not to worry, Greenworks lithium-ion batteries are offered with a four year (homeowner) limited warranty from the date of purchase. Hello Ritesh. Thank you for your review. We are very sorry to hear about this experience. Please try resetting the charger. To do this, simply unplug it for approximately 10 minutes and then plug it back in and try reinserting the battery. When inserting the battery, ensure you give it a good push. Please note that Greenworks 80V batteries and chargers are covered by a four year warranty from the date of purchase.
