Customers are enthusiastic about the fun gameplay and great song selection in Guitar Hero Live: Supreme Party Edition. Many appreciate the ease of use and the inclusion of two guitars, making it perfect for group play. However, some found the game's difficulty and the redesigned guitar buttons challenging to adapt to. The new controller layout presented a learning curve for some players accustomed to previous versions.

I played the first Guitar Hero series and enjoyed it. This one is very similar, but the gameplay is different. First, the controller has six buttons instead of the old four. It takes some getting used to, but you can lower the skill level to learn. Second, the gameplay on screen is different in that you can play along with a "live" band or live videos. Both are quite fun and challenging. There is in-app purchasing, which I don't really care for, but the occasional song additions will be welcome eventually.

Snagged it for $30 on Deal of Day. Great game

I'm not a long time fan of guitar hero or rock band. I've always appreciated what they offered back in the day, but just wasn't something I spent money on.
Got this game (two guitars and $20 in-game cash included) for $30 on Deal of the Day. I wasn't sure if I would keep it or pawn it off to my nephew/niece for Christmas.
Opened the game up last night and hooked up the guitar and loving it so far. Guitar feels pretty good and I really like that they moved away from the color scheme they used in the past.
What I like: The over the top live "campaign" they've included is so cheesy, but I think its fun. I'm not taking any of it seriously like I've seen some gaming sites complaining that they "didn't feel like an actual band member". Who cares. The live action stuff is fun enough and I kept laughing and drinking beers as I played. My wife died laughing at how cheesy it is. Good fun.
The other BIG selling point that I LOVE is the 24-hour music streaming channel that you can play called Guitar Hero TV. It's basically you logging online to a MTV or VH1 from the 80s/90s and playing various stations with randomized songs to their music videos. I think it's great and I love the complete randomness of the songs. I'm not someone that wants to play the same song over and over and over to master it. I want every junk song they have thrown at me to just play. I love metal and punk, but the song selection for the most part is cr*p. But I don't care. I just want to have friends over and drink and act like a fool with this game. Many people don't like the randomness of the songs because they just want to be able to play their few favorites over and over, but none of that matters to me. I'm not taking any of this game seriously and the fact that you are playing against other player's scores online while the GHTV is running is fun too.
What I don't like: The majority of the music in the campaign and GHTV is garbage. but on the flipside, there's over 500 songs available.
Am i going to get super high and drink tonight and junk music on a plastic guitar? Absolutely. And then I'm going to go back to every other game in my backlog and fun with those.

My wife wanted me to get this because we loved playing the old Guitar Hero. I will tell you it is not the old game. The game is a lot harder, but gives you more of a feel as playing a real guitar. I blew though the old game, and became board in no time. I don't see that happening with this version. I can see this is going to be a lot of fun for us on the weekends.

I saw this on best buy it went on sale since it came out 3 years ago, honestly is a good deal but it is hard to get used to the new controller. I would recommend buying this if you just needed to play just for fun. If you want the best game, try to get rock band rival instead because the controller is much easier than GH live to be honest..

I already had bought this game for the PS4 for my little brother but my girlfriend just bought me an XBOX one which i have over her house and we love playing it. I've played the older guitar heros and really enjoyed it. They changed it up this time on the guitar but i think that's good to give you a different type of challenge and overall definitely a game to enjoy. The bundle comes with two guitars so that's good to play with someone else

Picked this up for <$40, so it was a steal. Song selection is great and gameplay is fun. The new control setup is easier for beginners, but more difficult long time fans of the series. Muscle ory is working against me :O The controller buttons are incredibly stiff and 'sticky' but I'm hoping that with time they will loosen up, otherwise there are a few tutorials on Youtube to manually loosen them.

A great update to an already established game! After a little adjustment to the new guitar controller bottom layout, we found ourselves remembering why we loved Guitar Hero! From the huge song selection to the band mates reaction to how well or not so well you are playing to the overall joy of nailing a song, we knew we loved this game!.. Such a great value and completely underrated update!

I loved the classic Guitar Hero and Rock Band games, and GH Live revitalizes the stagnated franchise. Don't get me wrong, there are definitely a few cons, such as weird difficulty transitions and a strange pay-to-play system of sorts, but nonetheless makes up for it with fun, new gameplay.

Game is a lot of fun and great way to have some fun! Little different from the original obviously, which was a little tougher to get used to. Still a fun time. Don't know yet if I'll get the playtime out of the price though....

Great product! Love how you can go online and choose from a larger set of songs. Even new songs are being added so it's not stagnant. The guitar does need some getting used to. I am excited to finally get to play some harder songs with the new style of strings. Great job guys!

I got the guitar hero live pack with 2 controllers on sale during a deal of the day on top of my gamers club unlocked 20% off. It was perfect for something fun to play with my girlfriend or anyone else that comes over. There is alot of awesome music in the game. Lots of my favorite metalcore and rock bands were on there. Some of the more mainstream pop songs are pretty stupid because there is no guitar but your strumming a keyboard or a violin... The guitar hero TV mode also limits you like a mobile game on your tablet by how many plays you get. You have to buy more by earning them or paying through microtransactions. It is definitely worth it with two guitars for the price I paid and it is alot of fun.

I really like the two rows of buttons vs. the older versions of the game. It makes the game more challenging and somewhat more realistic. While I do like the style of play better, the song selection isn't that great. Some people may really like it but others may not. I guess it's up to your song taste as to whether or not you'll like the overall song selection. The keys on the guitars also seem a little too "sticky" compared to the older guitars. The keys seem like you have to hit them at just the right angle or they don't push in real well.

The controls are more fun. It's hard but it feels like you are really paying. I love it! I am excited to try it with someone and use both guitars at the same time. Song selection is great too!
