Great glasses, Wide angle

The Gunnar Steelseries Scope Glasses are great for people that have a setup of two screens or more, due to the wide angle that they provide. One thing I do not like, is that if you try to look down while keeping the glasses at the same place, your vision will not be covered by the glasses due to their short vertical angle. Overall, they are great for the hardcore gamer and are great for looking at big screens. :)

Great glasses that provides a small amount of add (+0.12D) which gives a slight relief during long hours of gaming. Also good for people who have light sensitivity. The frame could fit a bit more snug on the face for comfort.

I'll start off by writing I don't wear contacts or prescriptions glasses nor am I an optometrist. I'm 32 going on 15, I stare at a computer screen all day at work and grew up in the Nintendo era so I still enjoy to game at night with kids half my age that need to go outside more. My vision is OK but my eyes are always dry, irritated and usually bloodshot. I think part of the latter is due to the fact that I don't get as much sleep as I should and the other part may be because I stare at a monitor in the office all day and then spend a few hours on game consoles and the web in the evenings. I've tried to soften/warm monitor display settings to Movie mode, Custom mode, etc to no avail.
Enter advertisements from Gunnar. I saw an ad for their glasses which sparked my interest but like with anything these days, price was a concern for my wife and I. To justify the price in my mind, I sold myself by reminding myself that my eyes are important, I've spent $100 on sunglasses before having kids to feed and the fact that others spend hundreds on Px glasses, contacts, eye care, Lasik, etc. But I still couldn't pull the trigger to buy so I spent time on the web attempting to find credible reviews, pros/cons, etc.
Then I walked in to my local Best Buy and they had these SteelSeries Gunnars as well as a few other Gunnar glasses that were $20 cheaper in stock and on hand for purchase. I asked an employee if the glasses could be returned once opened and his response was, "Yes. You have 30 days." That prompted my wife to give me the all important green light. I purchased these SteelSeries Gunnar glasses and am still within my 30 days and so far, I like them.
As far as physical features are concerned, the glasses are sharp looking, comfortable and they remain comfortble throughout the work day. Peering at a monitor through the lenses at the office offers a much warmer/soothing look and has improved my eye discomfort. Wearing the glasses while gaming has improved my alertness, focus and eye comfort level. The glasses did not transform me into a no scope/quick scope head shot main slayer nor are they advertised to do so however, they have provided me with added focus and improved comfort which allows me to practice for hours in my quest to keep my k/d consistently positive and not be a "Bad Kid". I'm OK with being labeled as a "Try Hard" but a "Bad Kid" is not what my mom raised.
In conclusion, I will keep the glasses and recommend them to anyone in similar shoes as me, a person who has eye discomfort from office work/gaming for 10+ hours per day and a $100 to spend on a stylish remedy. My wife is now so very proud of her pro gaming wanna be, dorkamus maximus husband. I told her she's jealous and knows she wants a pair to use while reading her Nook.

I received these glasses today and boy do i love them! I played halo reach for about 4 hours straight with these on and i'm quite honestly speechless. To start off these glasses really helped my game. They allow you to focus on your target better and it really increased my accuracy. I let my friends use them as well, just to see if the better performance was just mental. I told them they were just regular glasses to make my "experiment," accurate. All three of them played amazing. My friend was getting no-scope after no-scope and these glasses got quite the reaction from all 3 of them , they all are going to buy a pair after using them. These glasses are not only impressive in performance, but the overall build quality is phenomenal. They are super lightweight, bendable, and very very strong material . While cleaning the lenses with the microfiber cloth(included with the glasses) i could really feel the outstanding craftsmanship and the wonderful build of the lenses. And the last big feature was after gaming. When i would previously finish my eyes would be distorted, watery, and kind of sore. But after i took these babies off i felt better than i did before i started gaming. The moisture i had left in my eyes was ridiculous and i was stunned how well my eyes felt. If you play any type of games, you shouldn't hesitate to buy these and just "pull the trigger" on purchasing these, you'll be glad you did.

At first these lens look like they don't make a difference, but if you wear them your eyes will adapted to the sights and become far more relaxed. Once you remove them your eyes exhaust more quickly. This is a legit product and is not only for gaming. I use these more for my computer screen. (46in LED Samsung)
If you really focus on where these glass frame swivel you ll notice that there are two little pins (1 mm) connecting it to the lenses. These can be easily broken. The lenses can get oily quickly.
Overall I love this item and so do my eyes. They stay more hydrated with them on and the colors are more vivid.

I have been using these for about a year and 3 months. These really help from eye strain and I you can really notice the difference at the end of the day.
My job requires me to look at three monitors daily, one 34 and two 27 inch. At times i forget to wear them and couple hours later my eyes are watery and tired.
No issues so far, i will be looking to get a second pair for home use.

I'll write this so people can understand exactly where I'm coming from. I've been an avid PC gamer for the past 10+ years, everything from Call of Duty, to 8+ hours a day on World of Warcraft. After awhile my eyes began to become sensitive to blue light (blue LED signs I'm looking at you). So after pondering for about a year, I decided to pick these up. My response was almost immediate (I picked these up at Canton, OH and wore them on the drive home). I could easily look at bright lights without being nearly blinded by the intense blue. But then I decided to put them to the test when I arrived home. Hoped on World of Warcraft (Ravenholdt), and began playing. Everything became sharper, with what appeared to be "true color" the blues faded and the real colors popped immediately. My eyes felt cool, and non-scratchy. I would tell anyone who spends long hours staring at a monitor, television, oncoming traffic, or in my case the intense bright fluorescents in a Best Buy (I work for the company) to grab a pair. They're nice and worth every penny.

I sit in front of multiple monitors from 8-12 hours a day at work, and sometimes more when I get home. I have had mild headaches and eye "twitches" when I get off work almost every day for the last couple years which has translated to me not being in a very social mood when I get home (much to my wife and son's dismay). I ordered these online and picked them up at the store near my house on a Friday (after work) and decided to test them at home playing XBOX. I did notice I was able to play for a longer period of time (in the dark) without my eyes hurting. But the reason I bought them was for work. I took them in on Monday and started wearing them. It took about a week for my eyes and face to get used to wearing glasses again (had lasik 7 years ago), but since then: WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I get off work at night and my eyes don't hurt and I don't have headaches. When I get home now, I have been able to enjoy some social time with family and playing xbox (no longer limited to the weekends).
Yes, at first people at work called me "shooter" because the glasses look like they are for sport shooting, but after letting a couple people try them out, they have ordered their own and the name calling has subsided. For me, the pros outweigh the cons; but ultimately it's up to you to decide if they help or not. I talked with my optometrist about them and he said they may/may not help, but they won't hurt your eyes.

This eyewear took my gaming to the next level. I don't know how I ever played without them. Now when I'm camping in the tower and a wookie finds himself in my crosshairs, he is sure to get taken out with the utmost efficiency. I would have given them a 5 star rating except the instructions were vague and it took me a while to figure out how to use them.
