Why pay a CPA $250 when most people can do their own taxes for under $40 with this simple software. In my opinion, it's not as easy to navigate as turbotax, but it's still easy! AND, in back to back years using both software with all variables staying the same, I got a higher return from H&R Block. Just put it in your CD drive and follow the instructions. Of course, as with any tax preparation, make sure you have your information gathered together and ready to go first.

I HAVE BEEN USING H & R BLOCK TAX SOFTWARE DELUXE, FEDERAL AND STATE FOR MANY, MANY YEARS. IT IS A SIMPLE AND STRAIGHT FORWARD PROGRAM. I LOVE THE FACT THAT IT INCORPORATES MY DATA FROM PREVIOUS RETURNS AND SAVES ME A LOT OF TIME AND ENERGY. THE TIMES THAT I HAVE HAD A PROBLEM, AND IT WAS MAINLY BECAUSE MY COMPUTER CRASHED AND I HAD TO REBUILD OLD TAX FILES, THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE WENT THE EXTRA MILE TO HELP ME REBUILD MY OLD FILES. Easy to load and to use and cheaper at Best Buy. Buy it every year user friendly better than any other software

I have been using the H&R Block Tax Software Deluxe for many years (I started using this when it was still Kiplinger Tax Software). The software comes with both Federal and State tax software and the State can also take care of my Local tax return.

This is my first time doing my own taxes, but a relative had always used this software and recommended it. Let me just say this was a huge help, and so user friendly. It walks you through everything and explains anything you aren't sure of. Helps make submitting your taxes a lot less stressful. Once you use it, the following year it will automatically pull in information from the previous year to save you from having to re-enter everything. Highly recommend!

I have done my taxes for years (about 15 years) using this program and it works great. Easy to use and is a great value especially for state tax returns.

I used to go to H&R Block and get my taxes done by a tax professional. I did that for several years. I would closely listen to my tax people and understand everything they were asking and requesting (information). One year I said, I can do that. So I bought the program. The program walks you through your taxes and is so easy. If you are even a little competent, you can do your own taxes with this program. I have been doing mine for years and love this program.

Overall this is very good program. Instructions are clear and concise. It is also easy to navigate. Everything worked smoothly and efficient.

The H&R Block software worked great for getting the max refunds for both Federal and State returns. The software guides you through the federal return step by step. Then you download which ever State program you need to file taxes with and start the step by step process for state taxes. The Federal return is e-filed for free but there is a fee if you choose to e-file your State return. Internet is required to download the software to your computer.

As they say, death and taxes, just can't avoid them. H&R Block helps with the taxes. While the tax code is overly complicated, this software does make it a bit easier and somewhat less painless. I spent a couple of evenings getting all of my forms and receipts together. Once that was done, it took less than an hour on the PC to get my taxes completed and submitted. I had a "approved" back from the IRS within minutes. Just waiting on the refund now.

H & R Block software is very usable and intuitive. I won't trust any other software to be as accurate.

The H & R Deluxe Federal and State Tax Programs are adequate to get the job done. More of a meat and potatoes type of program without any pretensions as it doesn't appear to have any bells & whistles. It is the first time in a very long time that I used the H & R Tax Software due to the large price increase of TaxAct. Over the decades I have used most of the tax software programs available with the exception of the "free tax programs" and my top two that I really enjoyed using were Parsons Tax Edge as my number one choice and TaxAct at number two.

Makes filing taxes easy especially for some info that can be carried over from previous years or electronically imported from external programs or online providers. The state programs are not very well synced if you have multiple state programs. It is not internally intuitive often requiring re-entry of items that were already previously entered in another section. Not free but better than paper filing. Can be used for 5 federal filing for free.
