The software got the job done. It was fairly user friendly but could have gave more explanations during procedures.

it walks you through your tax prep. My only issue is that I do tax returns for my family and they only allow you to e file 5 returns. After doing returns for my brother, sister, mother, nephew and myself, my sister in law and cousins get left by the wayside. Since NYS requires you to e file it's a problem, you can't even pay to e file more, they simply don't seem to let you.

I've used H&R Block for years now. I truly wouldn't use any other tax software. The ease of use is top notch with a clear and readily understood question driven interview that takes you from A to Z with no fuss except the gathering of the info needed to do the job. You'd have to that anyway of course but once you're ready to go this software gets the job done. Just enter the info during the tax prep interview and before you know it ... you're finished and ready to file. You can't go wrong with this software.

This tax program walks you through the process of filing return. Has great information if you are self employed or have rental property.

Let me say up front that I went with HRBlock this year because of the run-around from TurboTax last year. That had so many price resets and apologies and hoops to jump through to collect a refund, and on top of it all, gave only about 5 days after the filing deadline to request that refund. Never mind! Best Buy did a nice price-match with the cheapest legitimate online competitor, and I obtained the premium version of HR Block for a very reasonable price. Hopefully, it will be able to do everything I need it to do.

If you have your own business such as rental properties and ETF using K1 forms for reporting, the Premium version is a good choice. In some instances, you can actually get this at pricing from $30 - $40, is good deal. I have used Premium Tax Cut for over 4 years now and it has been performing well. Good product for its price. I am not sure if this would get better deductions than other software or not, nut it does the job for me. The info are stored and used year after year which is great.

I was a little out of my element when I first started, but having last years taxes to help guide me through the forms it didn't take as long as I thought it might. The little extra time it took me to do my own taxes was well worth the $500.00 it saved me by taking them to H&R block to have them done. I will be doing my own from now on, now that I know what I'm doing.

I have used Turbo Tax for years and last year my taxes were hack. So I decided to try a different tax software. It will copy your tax data from Turbo Tax and I found the software to just as easy to use as Turbo Tax. The only problem that I had was that it was hard to tell if I owed any taxes, but once I was aware of how they displayed the tax refund or owed, I was OK.

Customer service is under staffed therefore in effect non existent. I've been using this for years, back to the Tax Cut days. Product is starting to get expensive causing me to consider alternatives. Instead of nickel and diming the customer, all states should be included in the package like it was several years ago.

This tax program is great in the fact that it transports all the info from previous years into your current year. It is a very easy program to follow. Give you tips and hints as you go. Saves your work if you need to stop and go back later. Easy to follow step by step program
