Packaged very sturdily and arrived undamaged. This Haier washer replaced a 2.1cu foot magic chef portable washer after five and half years of service. The Haier washer like the old magic chef; spins a disc agitator and in my opinion washes better than the Magic chef. (The magic chef had a two sensor safety lid lock that was finicky and took time to engage and disengage.) The haier has a lid lock that does not require a physical latching of the washer lid as did the magic chef. The haier washer will automatically pause and chime no matter what cycle the machine is in - fill, wash, rinse or spin. The haier washer has a simpler control panel to use. It allows for many wash and rinse combinations. (One feature that is particularly useful is the soil level button - and can even be used on a quick wash or a delicate cycle too.) This haier washer is a true portable that can connect to the kitchen faucet requiring only one supply hose to the washer's cold water inlet. (This allows you to control the water temperature at the faucet. You only need to make sure that you select a cold water wash on the washer's control panel.) I did not utilize the available casters, but i did make sure to level the two front washer legs. (Only the front two are adjustable.) The washer's maximum power draw is stated as no more than 8 amps. You can use it on a 15 amp or 20 amp circuit. (Make sure your outlet accepts a 3 prong plug and is properly grounded.) This washer has its drain hose on the right, while the inlet water connections are on the top back of the washer. This machine is designed with TWO lint filters in the washer basket; please clean both after each cycle. You can lift the lid of the washer without pressing the pause button while the washer is filling with water or washing clothes -to add an extra item, or fabric softener. (It is recommended you always pause the washer to do this) I do not utilize the liquid chlorine bleach dispenser - I use powdered non-chlorine bleach. Just make sure you read the installation manual and owner's manual. Happy washing...

I bought this little washing machine to fit in my apartment, and I was nervous because it is a portable unit. It not only exceeds expectations for it's size and price but also in it's functionality. I was thinking it would be dinky with little to no control, but it has loads of options for different wash cycles. Very impressed.

Easy to use, easy to set up and cleans fairly well. Also having the wheels is a huge plus which helps make the machine movable without much effort

Although this washer is small, it is pretty sophisticated. It has more cycle options than the Maytag that it replaced. It also uses less electricity but holds more clothes in a load than the Maytag. Also, since it has wheels, it will be easier to move, if that need ever arises.

I bought the Haier as it was smaller and fit better in my laundry room. It is just my son and I so I thought it would be fine. Turns out we seem to have over taxed it and after a couple of years a drain pump went out and they don't make replacements any longer. Fortunately I had the three year Geek Squad protection so we replaced it with a larger machine. I think the Haier is better suited for apartment dwellers who use it sparingly. While it was working it was very good.

When my 15 yr old washer died, finding a replacement that fit my budget AND my space was tough-but then I can across this. It's not what your typical washer(with the heavy metal top) is but it does a good job of getting the clothes clean. The only thing I really do not like is that, even on gentle cycle, it seems to be stretching out and permanantly misshaping my tank tops. Over, beats washing by hand!

I am so happy that I bought this washer! It's beautiful and portable but it washed a considerable amount of laundry (Almost a regular load.). It does a great job washing and the eight different wash cycles and three different soil levels are just what I needed. Thanks Best Buy for offering this!
