I love ice cream and decided to try out this ice cream maker. It does the job but you only get one chance to get it right. If the container is out of the freezer for over 5 min the ice cream will not set up. The mixer paddle is plastic and is a bit wobbly. The ice cream is soft serve but will thicken in freezer. Overall happy with purchase.

The ice cream maker is so easy to use. The recipes included in the manual are all delicious. It cleans easily, also.

Yes we ketogenic freaks can make ketogenic ice cream now need to suffer while others stuff their faces with goodies! So easy to use so easy to clean up so NOISY! But this machine has changed my life!

This is wonderful. The ice cream or frozen yogurt comes out delicious. It's done much quicker than you would think. We are so happy we finally bought this item!!

The first use was disappointing. The blades got stuck by frozen build up on the sides of the canister. I have a single serve version of this type of machine and love it but wanted a bigger one to make more than one serving at a time. I am hoping it was something I did and the next time I will have better results. The size is great and it is easy to use and clean. Would like a little longer electrical cord however.

After reading some warnings about store bought ice cream ingredients being really bad for you (chemicles, gums, thickeners, preservatives) I had to make my own ice cream ...This item works great. I made some chocolate ice cream from the Ben and Jerrys book and used Ghiridelli chocolate chips YUM I HAVE MADE ICE CREAM SEVERAL TIMES NOW AND ITS SO EASY AND EASY TO CLEAN UP. so nice to know what is in my ice cream!

So far so good. Easy recipes, perfect amount. Great unit for single person or couple.

My first batch was awesome. I know I will never buy ice cream out of the store again. This it was very good. I used one of the recipes that was in the booklet. I used the simplest one listed. No salt at all. FOLLOW the directions and do exactly what it says and you will have perfect ice cream every time. The only thing, you have to keep the bowl in the freezer for 24 hours before you can make it. So if you have a large freezer, just keep it in there when ever you think you might want to make it. Keep the bowl cold so it is always ready.

Hamilton Beach 1-1/2-Quart Ice Cream Maker is the perfect size, not too big for single member families. Would have liked some vegan recipes included but found some online instead.

I have not made the ice cream yet and will update this review after use. The machine looks very durable and extremely well made. The top has a button you push to remove it which is a good safety feature. The interior bowl is very smooth and well made. The color is cute and it is smaller than I expected which is great because I have a really small kitchen with little counter space.

I needed a ice cream maker but did not want a big want. This one works perfect and happy I do not have to go buy ice and salt every time I want ice cream!

We all scream for ice cream! This little machine is fantastic for making your own ice cream, not too bulky and relatively quiet.

love it, it is just that it takes up a lot of room in my kitchen.
