My wife wanted a roll-top type toaster/oven to save space. I thought it was a good idea also for easier access to the heated food. This product was at a good price point so we ordered it. We are not disappointed. It warms up nicely and toasts come out right (after some practicing :-))

Not very user friendly as far as a toaster goes, OK as an oven

Perfect for a small kitchen. Have had it for one month and I'm happy with it. Saves space; lid goes up instead of opening out so it's not in the way. Toasts well and oven works great for vegetables etc.

We have had the toaster oven for approximately 6 months. No issues. Very much like the removable crumb tray.

I bought this model because I thought it'd be easier to remove crumbs. It is! But after baking something that spattered a bit where the cover rolls (at the top), I had to detach the cover piece to clean ... and it some of the spots didn't come clean. Putting that piece back on was a headache to say it nicely. The toaster still works, so I'm keeping it until I can find something else.

It's convenient and gets the job done but the timer is not very good.

We purchased this in July of 2014. Loved it until April of 2015 when we saw a spark come off of the top inside coil and it stopped working. Brought it to Best Buy and they couldn't return it even though under the 1 year warranty. Had to call Hamilton Beach and they said I can get a replacement... but WE have to PAY for the shipping which will be a minimum of $14.00. So... even though its under warranty ... WE HAVE TO PAY SHIPPING. First and LAST time with a Hamilton Beach product.

The cooking methods advertised are not true. This oven does not broil. To broil, the instructions clearly state, and the illustration clearly shows, turn the top knob all the way to the right. Sure enough, just past the 450' mark the line does point to broil. When you first try the broil setting the problem becomes clear. You can't make the line point to broil because the knob doesn't turn that far. It physically won't turn that far. It gets only to 450' and stops. 450' activates both the top and bottom coils to the highest setting. That's baking to the extreme, not broiling. To help keep healthy I broil a lot. This little red unit is good looking and the right size. Cuss, I really, wanted it. Thank you for reading PS: H.B. sells another role top toaster oven that doesn't have this problem. It has an extra knob that sets the broiler. Only other differences are it doesn't come in red and it's 17" wide.
