I spent about a month researching coffee makers to find one that had all the features I was hoping to find. I finally decided to go with this one. The Hamilton Beach professional coffee maker exceeded all my expectations. What I wanted: * removeable water reservoir * shower head sprayer * programmable * carafe that pours cleanly Well, not only did it have all this...it has so much more. The reservoir includes a water filter, carry handle and a lid that can be removed easily. I read some reviews where someone complained about the removeable lid. But I love it. One reason I wanted the removeable water reservoir was to be able to clean it and also let it dry out between brews. I can actually remove the lid when the coffee maker shuts off and most of the moisture evaporates fairly fast. This leaves it less susceptible to mildew or mold building up. You can lift it out and totally wash it out periodically. Also, I read someone complained about the way the reservoir slides down and snaps into place. I have had no trouble at all with this feature. Other wins - It brews hotter. The coffee comes out rich and smooth, not bitter. You can choose from 4 brew settings - 2-4 cups (for small batch), Classic, Bold and Robust. Wow. If that's not enough, you can adjust the keep warm temperature AND you can adjust the auto shut off time up to 4 hours! Love this feature because I always program my coffeemaker the night before. But on weekends or summer break I may not get up quite as early or may take a little more leisure time drinking my morning coffee. I set it for 2.5 hours to keep warm. Perfect. Another perk - seems small, but I appreciate the controls. The buttons are large, the display clear (it even lights up the amount of time passed since the coffee brewed) and I love the angle of the display and controls. Easier to read and easier to set. The coffee maker looks great too. I have only one thing that I'm not crazy about and I think it would be worth suggesting as an improvement. The carafe pours great. My difficulty is with the "ergonomic' handle on the carafe. It is very large. My hands are not that small, but I have a tough time wrapping my hand around it with a comfortable grip. It's very awkward so I have to be very careful anytime I pick it up to pour. I just haven't found a way I can grip it comfortably or securely. I think the style and angle would be okay if the circumference of the handle were a bit smaller. I hope they update that design. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing about this coffeemaker. Best I have ever had!

We have had this coffee maker for 4 months now and that's how long it lasted, this was my first hamilton beach and I will never buy another one. My kuerigs lasted longer and I will be going back to one again.

Makes great tasting coffee fast. Easy to program. Carafe doesn't drip! Love it so far!

So far I like it. Easy to set and use. I’m hoping the heat plate stays nice and doesn’t rust like my last couple of Cuisinart ones have done. Have only had it a month so we’ll see how it lasts.
