I personally don't think it's as cool as the other boba fett helmet in the black series but still had to have it for the collection.

For those who are like me who grew up with Star Wars, and are experiencing their mid life crisis / second childhood, this product is for you. When I was a kid we had a choice between something made of cheap plastic from a store, or something hand made from a plastic gallon milk jug which was of equal or lesser quality than the stuff released back in the 1970’s. Though I would like to think that the original Rubies helmets were kind of neat, they really cannot hold a candle to these helmets. Right here. Here is the good, the bad, and the ugly of this product. You will need a standard Phillips head screw driver, and 1) AAA battery. The helmet itself is cast out of some kind of PVC which means it will definitely take some cosplay abuse. It has a well realized interior that if you were a stickler for detail this would meet your demands. The Range finder attachment is quite easy to put on, though it will make battery replacement a bit of an issue as you will likely have to remove the rangefinder and over time you might start to create dents in the seams where the two parts join. The plastic is not hard ABS, it’s some other kind of plastic which I think is durable enough but might fatigue. Be careful. The visor is dark enough to where you can have your face obscured but can see out pretty clearly. There is a parallax to the visor so you will get some distortion. The rangefinder when dropped down lights up and alternates the red led’s. That’s actually quite nice to see. The inside of the range finder is different than advertised, as it is an etched piece of clear plastic and you will not see it very well from inside the helmet due to the curve in the visor plastic. It is the same effect you get with certain sunglasses and safety goggles. Curves tend to create distortion. Not so bad that you can’t see, just a bit too much to make viewing the rangefinder clearer. The lines of it are nice and crisp, the seams are well hidden on the rangefinder side. You can see two really thin holes if you look for them and if you are joining a cosplay group, they might want you to make that seam less noticeable. The bad of this product is that it was not made for people who have a giant head. I am one of those people whose head is larger than normal due to the fact that my brain is very large and full of wrinkly goodness. That being said, the adjustment band in the helmet made wearing it impossible to see out of. Fortunately the adjustment band comes out easily. The helmet will also fog up pretty fast if you don’t treat the lens with anti-fogging spray, or have a way of moving air through the helmet with a fan. The ugly of the product is that this is not a brand new sculpt. The dent from the previous Boba Fett helmet had been filled in, but the chipped paint pattern is still on the face and back of the helmet. Which means if you are joining up with a Mando Group, you will probably have to fill in those little paint chips. Other than that, there is really nothing bad with this product. As a toy sculptor I do understand a need to get product to market fast enough to make money. What I don’t understand is how on the interior of the helmet if all they changed was the dome, there is still the dent on the inside from the old mold. From my perspective if you are remaking the upper half of the helmet, you can take the dent out of the inside instead of simply filling the holes on the outside. That is my only real complaint about it.

This is a nice version of the Prototype Fett helmet but could better if they didn't resuse the same base from the normal Fett. The battle damage is still present on the helmet.

Dank ferrik! This is the way! I <3 my Boba Fett helmet. Got it just in time to watch the return of Boba Fett in The Mandalorian. Going to work on my old man Boba cosplay and paint the helmet, get a few 3D-printed armor pieces and jetback, and rock that dad bod Boba...

The quality is a painted over Boba Fett Helmet. You can see the dent of fetts helmet on the inside , and chipped paint marks on the exterior. The adjustments for sizing are super uncomfortable and the overall interior is On the smaller size. Exterior the helmet looks cool. It’s a paperweight. I pre-ordered mine back in June.

You can tell that this is a paint over from the other helmet. They should have done a slightly different design. But it still looks really cool. Putting this in my sons Star Wars room. He also really likes it. It would be 5 stars if they had a separate design and not cheaper out by doing a paint over.

JUST what I was looking for. This is going to be the base for a customized helmet. The texture on the front and back are there from the previous Fett helmet, but the dent is not. The electronics work and the interior is fitting. MTFBWY.

I got the green Boba Fett helmet, so it’s pretty much same thing. I’m a sucker for this and I love collecting these helmets, but Hasbro is double dipping here and making an easy buck on us. A little small for my big head, but it will do.

My 10 year old son loves it! A nice Best Buy deal to boot, very happy with this purchase. Nicely done helmet and looking forward to The Mandalorian release on June 2021.

Would be 5 Stars except the fact that they just painted the regular helmet white. Which wouldn’t be an issue except the didn’t smooth out the battle damage, so if you look closely it looks bad.

Well, ..I’m not quite sure how to comment on this helmet. Is it cool? Totally! ..is it the ‘prototype’ helmet I was expecting? Hmm, not sure what to say. This helmet is simply a repaint of the black series Boba Fett helmet released a few months prior to this one. The scope lights up for novelty, but does not ‘work’ as a scope in any way. Looks awesome though. As anything Boba Fett is usually pretty cool, a white version of the helmet that resembles the original concept is a must have. The artwork and prototype images that I’ve seen, however, were a little less flared on the sides and stuff like that which is why I’m a little disappointed that this was just a repaint. But either way, it’s a must have if you collect anything Boba Fett!

this is a great helmet, awesome details and a good size, i have a big head and it fits with room to spear.

Son is thrilled with this purchase! Box was slightly damaged when it arrived, however no part of the helmet was damaged.

Very cool like all the little features. I think anybody that would buy this would be very satisfied.
