This movie is fantastic. I love movies that are based on true stories and that is what this is about. I love the perseverance shown and how her attitude stayed positive.

Needed Christmas presents for hard to buy for people and you came through very nicely. The TV was a big hit and the coffee maker was perfect. As for the lap top...the one the BB rep. helped up pick out was a perfect fit.

I can't add too much more to the accolades Hidden Figures has received but I can add that the bonus features make getting the HDR version a much more rewarding experience than just streaming the movie elsewhere.

Hidden Figures is one of my favorite movies. It combines seldom taught history with great story telling. The acting was superb and the period costumes and musical score set a perfect backdrop for a compelling narrative.

What a Great Movie to enjoy and as True as it gets. How 3 Women impacted the NASA Program during the Gemini Project is an amazing story. Taraji P. Henson, Octavia L. Spencer, and Janelle Monae literally made this movie!

In 4K it's a great movie and with the historical significance of what these women did. It is well worth the money to buy this for everything that it stands for. It is unbelievable what these women had to go through.

I loved this movie when I saw it in the theater. I picked up a copy later on when it was released on dvd. Great performances by everyone and what a true inspiring story anyone should find inside of them.

I have always been interested in the moon landing but never knew this part of the historic mission. These women deserve much more recognition than they have received. Great movie about their contributions!

This movie was awesome, the colors were very vibrant and I was able to watch the entire movie without it stopping or freezing up on me. Very interesting and should be on your list as a must see!

if you haven't seen this movie, you are missing out on a story that everyone should know. Great acting, great drama. Simply astounding performances by the main actors and actresses.

Hidden Figures is based on a true story, and depicts a time in America everyone should know about. This Blue-Ray burst with color and details and the audio is great. I highly recommend it.

This movie unveils the contributions of three (3) African American Women to the success of the early NASA Space Missions. It also reveals the struggles that our society faced during the segregated 60's specifically for Blacks as a whole, but particularly for working African American Women. It deals with even after proof of these remarkable accomplishments, they were given minimal credit for so long. This movie captures the strength that it took to work and survive under these unfair, and unjust situations in an racially divided society. The film humanizes them by showing their realistic family and private lives, It is a testament to true equality of the human spirit, regardless of the conditions to the racially biased political and social climate that existed.There is some well placed sensitive humor, but this story is both inspirational and heartwarming.

Come on now...this is simply a phenomenal film, and more to the point, historical event. Intelligence, character, hard work, imagination, and incredibly admirable perseverance (in the face of just-dumber-than-the-pee-sized-intellect-of-a-cockroach period-specific cultural, gender, and racial bias) are phenomenal and admirable traits regardless of the individual possessing them. I don't subscribe to the concept of intentional systematic prejudice (not just racism), but DO assert the existence of unconscious bias that requires put-yourself-out-there experience and open-minded often-uncomfortable conversations by ALL sides to turn unconscious bias into conscious awareness, which then leads to the subsequent responsible use of agency (choice) to make firm decisions NOT to practice prejudice in any form. Generally, so as not to issue any spoiler alerts, the head dude at NASA, once his eyes were opened to the ridiculousness of the ill-conceived segregation rules, demonstrated the behavior that should result from such an unconscious-eliminating revelation. By far my favorite element of the film was him beating the ever-living crap out of the offending sign. Regardless of these crazy times, this elimination of unconscious bias has been a personal objective for 25 years or so. Huge apologies...did not mean to make this political, something which I avoid like the plague and will continue to evade.

In “Hidden Figures ", we have the stories of three famous black women who made history. All, three, remarkable in their mathematical and computer intelligence, worked for NASA in the Colored Computer program. These women knew their work and knew their worth, but had two strikes against them, one they were women, two, they were black. We meet them at work and at home and get to know them personally, that is the brilliance of this film. We meet Dorothy Vaughan, played by Octavia Spencer. She is acting Supervisor of the Colored Computer division. She was not deemed worthy of the actual title because she was black. Tataji P. Henson plays Katherine Jackson, widowed mother of three girls. She is the mathematical genius, and is asked to work on the plans for getting the US's space program working. Their colleague, Mary Jackson, played by Janelle Monae, goes on to become the first black engineer at NASA. Their workplace difficulties were caused by their race, and this film makes it quite apparent what these women went through with their quiet dignity. Al Harrison, played by Kevin Costner, is their boss. He noted Katherine's brilliance and used her to lead the program. However, it was the other white men and women who held her back, never noting her work, nor the fact she had to walk a mile to the only colored restrooms. This film brings the racism alive but in a quiet manner. We see it, we weep our tears, but they kept themselves together.

This is an excellent movie about a subject that was not well known. These exceptional women made an important contribution to the USA's space race. The acting was also excellent.

“Hidden Figures” details a complex yet triumphant moment in time for America amidst the backdrop of racism, sexism, and justice as depicted through the eyes of the African-American female.

I purchased this Blu-ray to watch with my parents and the film has a great plot and some humor spread throughout. Overall, it is an enjoyable movie based on a true story.

This is a movie that will keep you interested from start to finish. Absolutely love the cast and chemistry these ladies have with one another. This is one of my favorite movies.

This movie is great. I didn't know that these women were so important to the space program, and like most women - and especially black women - didn't get the respect they deserved.

Not only was this movie inspirational, it was also a great look behind the scenes of NASA and what it took for space exploration. Had no knowledge that these intelligent women existed.
