Not that great

The screen is non uniform and doesnt look very good. When viewing black screens portions of the screen are lighter and darker. The right side is always slightly brighter. I'm trying to work with hisense for a replacement but it might just be a cheap tv. I don't recommend it.

Apps, freezing, lagging and crashing

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hisense - 55" Class U8 Series 4K HDR Mini-LED QLED HDR Google TV, I brought from bestbuy not even 60 days ago apps keep freezing lagging and closing out. I have over a 1.2 gb internet speed and the tv is hardwired to a latest netgear nighthawk modem. I researched troubleshooting for this because its been happening alot to no resolution. Please advise on this matter I am extremely this disappointed in this product after reading all the reviews. As of now I have to give it a one star rating

Picture Quality- Poor

Bad tv

Amazing TV for the prices/value

The peak brightnesss this tv achieves is nothing short of impressive. The vibrant colors and image sharpnesss should come with a tv that would normally be at a significantly higher price, but i cant stress enough the value this offers.

I love telling my TV what to do and it does it

You can also choose whether or not you're manipulating the image settings of the entire TV or of just the input you're currently on. The voice assistant is a welcome upgrade for me and having the high refresh rate is great for when I decide to use my PC on my TV for certain games.

Awesome Picture and Sound But "Buggy" at Times

The picture is extremely clear and the colors are almost unbelievably good, breathtaking, when the set is working properly that is. It's "buggy" or "glitchy". Everything will seem to be fine then suddenly the color is dull across all channels/HDMI ports, etc and the TV needs to be reset. Not sure I like that as I have to go back in and re calibrate the pic and sound settings each time. For now I would say buy it, especially at this price point but honestly it's given the most problem of the 3 "smart" TV's I have owned to date. The others gave nearly zero problems but with this one the "buggy" issues are nearly a daily occurrence. Also, buy the absolute best HDMI cables you can (I went with Pixelgen) to avoid the "Weak or No Signal" issues that were also a daily occurrence. Buying this HDMI cable seems to have cleared this up but I am not 100% certain yet, so far, so good. I may not be able to edit this review and this info may change for the better, just don't know!

As Good As the Expensive Brands

I have a Samsung QN90B and my new Hisense U8k's picture seems just as good as the Samsung. I also have a LG OLED which, because of the lack of brightness, has been a big disappointment to me. Sometimes you have to ignore the reviews of professional reviewers who get involved with so much minutiae about black blacks and blooming that they are afraid to say that a lower priced TV is just as pleasurable to watch as the name brands.
