Other than Limited Apps, I had an issue with too much black. Ex. dark scene with grey or black suit. The suit would look solid, I couldn't see details of the suit, such as pockets, ect. To correct this I made the changes listed below. Its not perfect, but I can make out the suit parts now. I never had any problems with well lit scenes, only night or dark room scenes. The picture quality is decent; however, every time I change the channel it makes a ear-piercing high pitched tone. I'm not sure I can deal with this much longer.

    Good price

I'll keep this short and simple. Great price for a lot of tv. The issues I have are: extremely low response time with the menus, (typing a search in YouTube or anything like that it takes 5+ seconds for your input to register and by then you've clicked it multiple times and it all catches up at once.) Streaming on YouTube is broken because it continuously pauses to load over and over, (even with low data videos like music with one constant background, not even hd.) The tv doesn't have a vc audio out plug in so my wireless seinheiser has to be plugged into the headphone port via an adapter which then mutes the tv speakers, (this is annoying because on the occasion I'm using the tv late and want to use the headphones I have to tinker behind the TV to plug in the headphones to use then my wife complains in the morning she doesn't have sound,(she's not as tech savvy as me and doesn't know how these things work.)) And last complaint is there isn't a whole lot info on the TV anywhere, very hard to locate and problem solve issues with this tv. Tried to keep short, sorry. Hope this helps, very slow controls and extremely buggy streaming.

HiSense 60" issues out of box

    Posted .

After plugging TV in the first time and checking connection to back of TV And wall had to switch from top to bottom outlet to get TV to power on. HiSense logo flashed intermittently on the screen and then first time setup went smoothly. Two weeks went by after having binged watched Cobra Kai for 5 hours I shut the TV off. Next day TV would not power on via remote or back of TV (grey OK button pressed). Only red light was lit on the sensor and nothing happened on the screen. I was on day 15 so 1 day past return policy for best buy and had not purchased in-store warranty. I called tech support number in manual. I had to use Sharp option as HiSense option hung the phone up on me. I explained the issue (had tried a few reset options on my own I found by googling) and explained that to customer support. She asked me to send in a copy of my receipt which I did via email. Within a few days I received parts in the mail. Day later I got a call from technician in the area to come to my home and replace the parts. In my case it was a faulty motherboard. Once new motherboard was in place and TV powered back on there was a letter M in top left hand screen. Had to go to settings and switch the mode to U instead of M and restart the TV which fixed the issue. All in all the customer service support was excellent from HiSense. The issue was resolved in approx 10 days end to end.

Replaced a 4 year old 60" Sharp Aquos and this one is better in every way possible. Great picture, plenty of adjustment options, surprisingly good audio (but don't expect any low end bass, of course). Built in apps work flawlessly too. If you aren't familiar with the brand, do your homework....this company makes panels for other "big name" companies.

Did a lot of research on 4k tv and this one kept coming up as looking for 60 inch. Specs started seeming all the same on various brands so tried this one. Very good picture and no issues. Purchased sound bar to go with it though some may be happy with the speakers in the tv as they do put out decent sound. Sound bar though is awesome. Settings are easy to understand and we use Roku so wasn't really concerned with what apps or channels it came with though looked like it had quite a few. Awesome clarity on tv and would recommend Hisense to anyone.

Unboxing is pretty straight forward, Setup was fairly easy. Picture is a bit to be desired for. Only problem I had is that once I got it set up, there was an issue with the screen. Sure customer service will handle it. Not a lot of apps also. But for a budget 60" newcomer to the game, I'm sure there will be better products coming.

Bought the tv when it was on sale last week. No regrets so far. Although it doesn’t have amazing specs on paper, the pic quality is very nice. Watching Planet Earth 2 4K on Netflix shows crystal clear, sharp images. Pictures are not as warm as Sony, but not really anything major to complain. Excellent buy for everyday use at home.

no better than my 11 year old plasma

I've been hounding my wife for a couple of years now wanting to get a UHD tv. She finally relented and gave me the go-ahead. I had done some research, but was a little too excited after getting the green light and headed to Best Buy. The salesman I talked to seemed very knowledgeable and explained everything in more detail than I expected. I have to say I did have a limited budget, so I was quite aware going in that I wasn't going to be getting the tv I really wanted. There were a decent number of positive reviews for this tv, so that played a part into my decision making. Now, one thing I didn't think about was the existing sound system I have and how it would work with this tv. As it turns out, my 11 year old Sony receiver also would not really be able to process the UHD output as well as newer receivers/sound bars. That didn't deter me as I thought I'd just build my new system slowly. I also didn't have a UHD HDMI cable, but again this didn't deter me as I know several people that plug and play their new UHD tv's into existing sound systems/older HDMI cables and the picture is still noticeably much better (and not with top of the line tv's either...I know someone that has a cheaper Samsung and someone else that has a cheaper LG model...don't know exactly which models, but they didn't pay too much more than me and there is quite an improvement in the quality of their respective tv pictures). I thought at the very least, plugging in my new UHD blu-ray player directly into the new tv would be a fair test of how much better the resolution should be. Well, to summarize...the picture was not any better than my 11 year old Panasonic plasma set. In fact, the resolution from the cable box was quite a bit worse. Even the built in smart features/apps didn't display the crisp picture you expect to see from a UHD set. I took it back. Replaced it with a Vizio. The Vizio sucked too. I'm sticking with my plasma until it dies. I'm done with the UHD craze (unless I come upon a small fortune to pay for a much better quality set, a UHD blu-ray player...took that back too...a new sound system...and all of the UHD HDMI cables I'd need for the entire operation). If you're looking for a complete improvement to your old plasma or LED-based system, you'll still need to spend well over a thousand dollars. Don't be tricked into thinking that an inexpensive UHD tv alone will completely revolutionize your tv-viewing experience. It won't!

The display resolution of the television is dependent on the source material, and a 4K television will more accurately display the imperfections of standard definition material. Viewing 4K content using the pre-installed Netflix, Amazon, or YouTube applications should display the full resolution of the television. Bought a 60 inch tv from bestbuy after they said theybhad great reviews on them. Tv looks good sounds good and last 2 month it just shuts off by itself, turn bavknon and turns right off does it.almost everyday and good bit. TV was 2 months out of its 1 year warranty so werw out 600 bucks. Seems like they changed their 2 year tona 1 year warranty after having ton of issues and to not have to fix tvs. Todays technology a tv shouldnt be going out a little after a year of purchase. I think were done with hisense!

The colors are all washed out and the picture is grainy and blurry. Even when feeding it a 4K signal from Netflix or any other streaming service or from a 4K Player the picture looks like it's 480p DVD quality. No matter what settings I tried. I will definitely be returning this ASAP!

So I just bought this tv last night to replace a 55 inch samsung signage monitor I was using as my tv, but the picture isn't nice on this tv, the colors are extremely dull, the tv itself is just very dim, I bought it last night, I'm actually going to pull it off of my wall and return it to buy something else, they didn't have one on display at my local best buy so I couldn't tell until I got home and had it setup, if you don't care a whole lot about picture quality, or if you don't have a TV that's high end already, this tv is for you, otherwise I would stay away

This tv was bought for us as a gift. Seemed great for the price. Not even a month later and it shut off and has no power and won't turn back on. I've read plenty about this happening and there are steps to take to turn it back on but nothing is working for our tv. Now because we didn't buy it...don't have a receipt or even the box....who would have thought ONE month later this would happen. Not happy!

This TV is the worst you could imagine. Aside from the poor interface, the TV is horribly made. My TV shuts off when the screen is to bright. I'll be watching a move when bam it shuts off. Since it only has a 1 year warranty, I am sol.
