When plugged in, it sets itself up with little interaction. The ULED screen quality is Amazing compared to a QLED at double the price. Speakers are great.

usually never test other brands & stick to Sony/Samsung for TV’s but I’m beyond impressed w/this purchase - lighting is insane & for the price, haven’t found anything close in value (2020 Model) Hisense Series R8

Love this TV & the Roku feature is an added bonus! Highly Recommend!!!

CONS: * Blotchy, uneven backlight. * HDR is actually regional backlight. The regions are big. You can see the disappointment most in dark scenes. * Contrast is poor, with the image looking fairly washed out. * The Roku in this is very crashy. * The Roku module can be slow/laggy sometimes. * The Roku in this will sometimes decide to not update software unless you go run the update manually. * The screen saver reverts to the Hisense logo randomly, just because it wants to say hello. It's not the only Hisense appliance I've bought that is poor quality either. The whole brand is a disappointment. My TCL Roku TVs are much better quality, and do not have any of these problems. PROS: * At the time, it was one of the better priced TVs; however, that is no longer the case. * It is light enough that it can be hung on the wall by one person if it's a wide mount. * It has a good assortment of ports. * The stereo speakers built in are decent for built-in speakers. You can get Roku remote speakers if you need surround or bass. * Total brightness is decent, if just a bit washed out. Watching a movie, it's tolerable.

Roku is great and the apps are too. Just be advised that android boxes will not work due to Roku preinstalled on this tv. Google removed their app as well. The picture quality is above average. My biggest reason for the the 3 stars is I have had numerous occasions where the tv lagged out or froze. Ive even counted an average of 15 seconds that it has taken to actually turn off after hitting the power button. Its a good tv but definitely overpriced.

I first got the tcl 5 series 2020 qled version and it had a good picture and all but it had the “dirty screen effect” or bad screen uniformity and I didn’t think this 2019 Hisense r8f model would have a good picture like the tcl but once I turned this Hisense on... the picture is CRAZY Good. It’s immersive. I definitely was not expecting this picture to be this good. The only thing that this Hisense r8f doesn’t have that isnt that big of a deal to me is good motion enhancement. But the picture has really deep blacks. Ink black. It gets really bright for Dolby Vision and HDR. I mean I am completely satisfied with the picture of this tv. I still get amazed Everytime I’m watching something. I don’t know how the sound is because I use a home theatre. But you won’t regret this tv if you are looking for a good picture. I mean I don’t even normally write reviews but I had to come here and write how good the picture is.

The price point is terrific, and so is the picture. Easy to setup, smart features are great, and the picture quality is superb. Great picture with gaming consoles. Very simple remote. Customization of picture is simple as well.

I had a 75" leading competitor TV that went defective. I liked that TV. So I started researching on up tube for another big screen to get when my refund came back. Ran across this Hisense ULED... That's right, ULED. Had to check this out. All the reviews gave really good reports for a Hisense 65" Roku ULED TV. I frequent Best Buy alot so I checked out the website. They had it listed for $700. And to my surprise, the Best Buy member price was $570! So I ordered it. Took 2 weeks to get it. Delivered in great shape. Just let me say this....this ULED technology....OH YEAH! Now, its not as sharp as an OLED, but it pops! Sharp picture, vibrant strong color, and apps galore because of the Roku OS. I'm very pleased. God blessed me!

I replaced an old Toshiba plasma 45" that was experiencing issues with the Roku stick. Not that the Toshiba was doing poorly but because the Hisense with Roku TV build-in was a Smart & seamless transition. Much brighter, greater definition and it pulled in all of the channels and apps on my 75" Sony Bravia as well. Matched it with an LG soundbar with subwoofer all at a fraction of my Sony. Great Value.

For the last two years, my toddler son has broken our living room tv in the period between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Selections are sparse sometimes, I fell in love with the TCL brand, but everyone is sold out of the model I wanted. I decided to go with the Hisense R8 because it still gave me the Alexa enabled feature I have grown to depend on, I wanted a Roku platform tv and the price was almost $350 cheaper and I'm tired of buying more expensive tvs. The picture doesn't seem as crisp as the TCL but for less than $600, it gives a pretty decent picture and sound.

So I’ve been rolling with Hisense for like the last 4 years and they never disappoint. This thing is pretty awesome for the price and comes with Dolby vision and atmos support which is a bit rare for a tv in the price range. Colors are solid and has pretty good black levels for a 60 zone tv. Sound is better than most as well! I’ll be honest and say there’s some occasional blooming, especially at off angle viewing but in hdr, this issue is far less noticeable. I use it mainly for gaming and this I think is where it really shines. Input lag is hyper low in my opinion and does a really great job making things pop! Super excited for the new consoles to drop so I can get going on this bad boy. Was even also able to scoop this up with BB member pricing at $550! 10/10 would buy again.

Honestly, this TV probably would have been fine...however, before I ever got it out of the box, the Sony OLED A8H went on sale at a price I couldn't pass up. As I already had an LG OLED that was going to be mounted right next to whatever TV I purchased, I decided that the Hisense ULED likely would have given me buyers remorse, even at the great price it was purchased at. By the way, the Sony is amazing and more than deserved the 2nd rated TV by CR it received!

Excellent TV. The screen is very crisp and bright. The built in speakers are also very good . The voice remote was a nice surprise!

Worth the money. Picture & sound quality are best. Gaming comes alive with vibrant color.

It was easy to set up & easy to learn how to use. It has a wonderful picture. I love it.

I purchased this tv after I returned a lower model TCL with android tv because i could not watch disney+. I am used to ROKU and wanted a roku tv and this Hisense model was on sale. TV is ok and not great! I keep having some issues were Netflix is slow at times and other times it just freezes and the tv restarts on its own. It's done it more times than i would like, i've even had to push the reset button on the side of the tv. I've not contacted Hisense nor the geek squad. I really wanted the H9G but it's an android tv and it's out of stock. I can no longer return this tv. I guess the saying is true, you get what you pay for.
