    Mel Brooks never fails to deliver in any of his movies and this is no exception. The musical numbers, the funny puns makes this movie a classic that everyone should watch. Some will say that he takes pot shots at different religions, but that is not true. He is one that doesn't mind pushing the envelop in all religions, including his own! Don't miss out on this movie, but the only thing that I would ask is...Where is History of the World Part 2?? LOL.

    My 14 year old and i couldnt sleep one night so we watched some of rhis movie on TV. Wanted to see the rest so bought the dvd. Not very funny. However, the employee at our local store ( Montgomeryville, Pa) helped us look through the bin.

    Mel Brooks is a comedic genious! History of the World Part I is very funny in a silly, juvenile way - much needed during these covid times. Definitely worth spending 90 minutes watching if you like Mel Brooks. After this, pick up Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles!

    Mel Brooks is a master of comedy (and truth that is covered in comedy). This is an awesome DVD I have seen before but wanted to add to my collection. He probably couldn't make this film under today's conditions of idiocy - nor Blazing Saddles nor Young Frankenstin. Its a shame, which makes it even more important to get this DVD before the Thought Police get it banned.
