We enjoy using the Google Home device and yes we are big fans of "Goggle World" and all of its attributes. It well integrated with mobile Google apps. It has limited smartcast functions at this point and we are still learning how to pair it other smart technologies in our home. We are lovin' it.

I compared Amazon's Alexa and Google Home. After doing my research and discussing with the Geeks at Best Buy, I chose the Google voice assistant. First off, it uses a better search engine. Second, it learns from your usage. Have really enjoyed this product tremendously.

Knowledge is always right there waiting for you. No typing, and you don't even have to get out of chair! Knows your location so you can get info without specifying where you are. Weather, phone numbers, directions etc. Thought this would be just a gimmick, but I really love it!!!!!

Alexa is designed to order things. Google actually knows things and has several more capabilities. The only downside is the speakers aren't as loud as Alexa, but that's not really the point of these home assistance devices, so I'm okay with the highest volume Google H reaches.

Google home is a lot of fun. But it has limitations. Does not have a broad range of capabilities. Limited ability to answer questions. My Samsung Galaxy is more capable. However, I am looking at getting a Nest thermometer and connecting more within the home. Hopefully software will expand.

On the plus side, its fun. However I selected google vs Echo because I thought it had the resources of google search behind it. Disappointed that it cannot answer a lot of my questions. Also, I use iPhone and cannot read my calendar.

I found that this is better than the Amazon Echo version as it can answer more questions better. Just to be clear this still has it's limits as it appears to mainly pull information from Wikipedia. It's still a cool little gadget and appears the it will be getting several software updates soon

This was a last minute gift for our son. He likes to cook and the ability to ask it questions in the kitchen is fun and a time-saver for him. The sound quality is decent, on par with his Blu-tooth speakers. The voice recognition is OK, however it seems to get confused on occasion.

My family loves the Google Home. First, it helps us by adding stuff to our shopping list. Anyone can just add things, so the kids actually do it too. My son loves playing the games it has. It is nice to just ask it to play a song and it plays it. All around, best investment ever.

We love our Google home. It has been a great addition to our home. We put it to use every day. Love to be able to ask it to play songs for us. We have a free trial of youtube red and that has been amazing to have. Love all of the Christmas songs it plays for us. So glad we got it.

Connectivity is a snap with automated home devices. Far superior to Echo. However, Echo sound is beats Google hands down. Echo is limited to types of data such as playing sounds, answering detailed questions. It appears Echo has data limitations where Google Home draws from Google directly.

Unit is pretty awesome you can set up your house to do things with google the kids love that you can turn on and off lights my biggest negative is with Alexa you dont need to pay extra for music with google you do that's the biggest negative about it

I was blown away by the Goggle Home's ability to find very obscure music. I simply asked to the Google Home to play songs from my favorite San Diego punk band Tiltwheel...and she found it. This band is not on any major labels...but somehow Google Home was able to find them for me.

Purchased a google home after seeing a few Alexa's. I like the google home device can be connected with multiple units which the Alexa does not offer. I don't use it very often but enjoy the shopping list and news recap features. Its not have to have item, but it's fun to have.

I was torn between getting the Amazon Echo or this Google Home. After testing both and conducting research, I am glad to have chosen the Google Home. While Alexa has great support, I believe the integration with Google to my Android smartphone is far superior and seamless.

You can't use this product with a business Gmail account. Why?

I've had an Echo for about a year and love it. Once I bought a GA I realized how much I wasnt getting fromt he echo as far as quick and accurate answers to random questions. They both perform the same IMO but the Google data puts it over the edge for me. Can only get even better from here.

Flexible design. Home is a minimalist's dream. ... You'll see colourful, very Googley lights glow in the panel when Home hears its wake words "OK Google" or "Hey Google" or it responds to a command. Amazon Echo, on the other hand, has a blue ring of light at the top with a physical rotation

I am a long time user of Google's services and often find myself looking up trivial things from movies/TV, etc. Being able to just ask Google Home and get an instant answer is great fun. There is still a lot of work to be done on the functionality, but they are well on the way.
