Changed the batteries and still nothing. Not sure if the remote is the problem or the receiver on the fan is the problem. I guess will return for an exchange.

It only happened on certain settings at first, but now it's every single setting. I tried to take the fan apart as much as possible, but there is no way to get to the inside to clean it.
