Finally the motor went, and after some brand, and consumer reviews decided to go with this Honeywell QuietSet. Lower settings are indeed quiet. As speed is increased so does the "noise." This fan is effective at cooling our bedroom of 16x14 on the highest settings; and competent at providing sufficient air movement around the king bed area during sleep on the lower, quieter settings. Smooth oscillation when needed at approximately 90 degrees. The remote is limited in function, and distance; but a nice feature to have. Well designed overall. Solenoid controls, so non-mechanical wear is a plus hopefully for longevity. The front panel is well lit, and brightness is adjustable. Price matched, and excellent BEST BUY Customer Service to top it off.

Where’s the air flow?

The air flow that comes from this fan is pitiful - even on the highest level, doesn’t even compete with my Lasko fan’s lowest setting. Save yourself and get any Lasko before getting this fan.

Bought new, came used.

NO where does my order said this was a return or a refurbished product. But it had clearly been returned to the store, Wrapping already open, padding in incorrect places....works for a few. Then we turn the wall unit AC on, and then this fan starts to sputter. Air flow goes down. Seems to happen only when the AC is on, tired other plugs, and on separate breakers, still sputters.

Expensive plastic

Not only is it short but you can barely feel it unless you're right next to it. Forget cooling off a small room let alone a large one. The "8 speed" "feature" is a joke feels less powerful than a 3 speed

broke quickly

It died after 4 days!

It is so hot especially in Miami, FL that I needed extra help in the cool down department but this did not work. Thankfully the staff at the store was great and refunded me immediately!
