Bought this to swap out an old manual one upstairs, and the convenience of changing modes and temperatures without having to get up is great! Connecting to the app in the beginning is a hassle though.

Had to spend an hour on the phone with Honeywell support tech to get it to work properly. Replaced an older mercury type unit and thought I had it done correctly, but burner wouldn’t engage even though the fan would come on. Had to move some wires around down in the furnace terminals and add a jumper wire to get it to kick in properly - Honeywell tech was great and got me through it all without any problems once we hooked up on the phone and went through what needed to happen. Great service!!

I ordered this for my lake home so I could check on it through the winter. This one comes with a converter for older homes without the “C” wire. That is why I bought it. It was very easy to install. Now waiting for winter to try using the WiFi connection.

This is a great smart thermostat. It was easy to set up ourselves. It connects directly to our Alexa and there’s a separate app you can download on your phone to control the temperature of your home when you are away. Definitely would recommend.

This thermostat was very easy to install. It had easy to follow instructions and included labels for the wiring so you don't mix up the wires. The app is very easy to use and you can control the temp manually or set a schedule. Excellent product.

We didn't need all of the extra fancy features that stats like the Nest have with learning and such and actually would have been a downside for us given how inconsistent our schedules are. This checked all the boxes and the GeoFencing was a phenomenal feature for how inconsistent our schedules are! The only thing that I have learned from our new stat (we loved this one so much that we bought another for our new house!) is that with only being a couple miles from work now, the GeoFencing doesn't work for us anymore; at least not well. All in all, a ton of awesome features and a great price! Honeywell customer for life!

The Honeywell T5 is my next step into smart home technology and it’s so easy to use. I had it put in by professionals so I’m not sure how easy it is to install, but use is VERY easy! Touch technology that’s effective and effortless.

this is an easy thermostat to use - it took a couple of attempts for instillation, because no one read the directions clearly. after that, it's worked nicely.

This thermostat was somewhat to install as a replacement for my existing non WiFi Honeywell. Their universal mounting plate is somewhat small so fat fingers will need a little more time and patience. My system has an electric heat pump with emergency heat and A/C. Simply match the wires to the colors and letters from the existing installation to the new one and that’s it. With this setup however you WILL need to perform a manual setup so keep the instructions handy. I also have a Honeywell Smart Color thermostat but it doesn’t use the same account/app as this one. Honeywell should unify their thermostats so there is a single interface to control them. I don’t like switching apps for each device.

This is great to access while on the go due to its smart features. However I bought this to use the Geofence feature but, it is bugged or broken. When I am away from home it goes into away mode but, also while I am at home it says I am away randomly, boosting my A/C up 3-4 degrees at random... I have changed and modified my settings to try and combat this to no resolution. So, I resorted to using the Time Schedule instead! I got it for $100 so I cannot complain much and it was a direct replacement to the thermostat that came with my home.

I like the ability to turn the temp up or down while we are away. It’s also nice to adjust the temp from the recliner. That does sound lazy doesn’t it? It’s still a nice feature though. Lol

This thermostat is programmable plus has the ability to change your settings with an app. Easy to install and operate. Why pay more for WiFi thermostats that do the same?

I would highly recommend this item... quick and easy to install with the included c-wire converter... better temperature management than regular programmable from before.

I really like being able to adjust the temperature when we are on our way home from a trip. No more walking into a sweltering house.

Installed a new HVAC so selected this thermostat, had a little trouble setting up but got it up and running

I had one wire in the wrong slot and was able to contact customer service. They were able to ensure everything was correct and the thermostat works perfectly.

Greatest purchase I’ve made in a while. Nothing like being able to check on your heat and air-conditioning were not at home

Bought this as a gift for a family member! Easy to use for an older more seasoned adult! Perfect way to introduce them to the new millennium.

First thermostat upgrade we've ever made and happy we did. It was fairly easy to install and set up. I would have given 5 stars if the Geo Fencing option worked better, but it seemed like we often would come home to the thermostat not seeing that we entered the area to kick on, or not changing to away temps when we were actually gone.
