Small and convenient to carry in your briefcase or attach to your large bag, duffle or backpack, or on your desk. It's good on days that are perhaps in the 70s in degrees. The power is mildly weak, I wasn't happy with my purchase but kept it as it was inconvenient to return it. I would not recommend for summer days - those really very hot days - not powerful enough for even a slight cool breeze.

It's a basic, no-frills, single-speed personal cooling fan. I deducted one star because I would have liked the option of two speeds (one higher) and the battery compartment is a little more complicated and fragile than it needs to be. The airflow is adequate if you're working at a computer and the fan is only a couple of feet away from your face. I would compare it to the breeze from the lowest setting of a car's air circulation system. Even with fresh alkaline batteries, the fan speed is noticeably lower than when plugged in to a USB power source. The 4 AA batteries are installed with 2 on each side of a removable cartridge that slides out of the unit. The cartridge springs are fragile and might break with frequent use. The front power button requires a bit of pressure to click on and off rather than being the soft-touch type. The stand clicks into many angle adjustments, or you can fold it open 180-degrees to use as a hanger, but I couldn't find anything in my office I would find more convenient to use the hanger option with. The fan is by no means silent but the low whirring noise is no louder than I expected from a cooling fan. Overall, this compact fan is a good value for its convenient size, decent airflow, adjustable stand, and AC/DC power options.

got this in case I get hot at work and it's perfect! has USB cable that plugs right into my computer tower, also supposed to run on batteries but haven't needed to use that feature. quiet and adjustable and folds down small and compact to store in desk drawer. looks cool too!

Battery operated (no cables), many options for table placement, and hanging. Use for placement on music stands and near studio equipment to cool face while singing, playing or recording. On sale it was the right price. couldn't be better

I picked this up on a business trip, as I had forgotten my normal travel fan. I love how light the fan is. It puts out a nice volume of air given it's size. I plan to use it camping as well.

Best Buy was kind to email me a $5 birthday gift certificate. So I went to the store to browse around. I like their rechargeable NiMH battery selection. But I just purchased quite a few of them. So I happen upon this fan. It works off of four (4) AA batteries. But there is a USB cord that can be attached as well. The battery compartment is small. When putting the batteries in, the springs get in the way. But I just purchased a AA Rayovac Battery Pack at Ace. I was able to use it with the fan. With Panasonic 2100 mAh batteries, it latest about 5 hours. With my solar NiMH 700mAh batteries, it latest about 2 hours. Not bad, it works pretty well. I use re-chargeables, so I can recharge then and use them over and over again.

It's a cool little fan. It's small, quiet, and battery and USB powered. I actually bought it to hide in my media cabinet. Between the AV receiver and all the other electronics, the cabinet was getting warm. I wanted a way to move more air - this does the job.

Very pleased with this fan. Love that it's small but powerful. Also like that it can be battery operated, as well as plugged into a wall outlet or computer USB port...it's perfect!

This was an impulse purchase. Honeywell makes this fan in a floor/table model. As a rather hot-natured person, I run a fan at my desk at work most of the year. Their floor model can be run on low and keep me comfortable. When I saw this portable fan, I jumped on it knowing how good the floor fan was. I love the fact that I can run it on batteries and not have to worry about a power outlet being near by. The noise level is not a problem for me. I just hope it does not become noisy with repeated use.

I have purchased several USB fans! This definitely does the job and got it on sale too

I wanted a fan that could be USB for work and battery or USB when I travel. It's not loud, it's perfect. I am pleased.

Got this for a large Orchid i got as a gift and had to take to work. Orchids need air circulated and we can't plug things in. So i chose a battery operated option. It works fine and also has the USB option (which i can't use anyway but thats cool). I haven't given it an excellent as I haven't had it that long to see if it lasts. But value for the price is great.

Up close, this fan really moves the air around you, providing a good level of comfort for such a small fan. The battery compartment is a bit tricky at first, but makes sense for such a compact fan. Hopefully, this will feel as cool when used during a power outage as it does in an air conditioned room. A good buy.

Very portable and quiet! And very powerful!!! Would eagerly recommend it to anyone who wants portability and power.

It's not the most powerful fan around, but it works well as a travel fan. It fits easily in the luggage and has a variety of power sources.
