Must have Switch controller for travel

I play Overwatch and I’ve tried both the Joycon and Pro controller, but the SplitPad is much better to play with. The responsiveness has been the best out of the three controllers and makes me aim more accurately. Downside for me is the added size and the need to get a bigger protective case. Also wish the attachment to the Switch is bluetooth/battery for wireless play.

This is a much better substitute for the original joycons for the switch. When i 1st saw these in action i thought brother in law had got a new system but he said it was still the OLED Switch. So me being a good dad i bought this for one of my kids that actually takes care of the electronics they have. The game pads if you can call them that feel very durable and much better feeling in your hands. Rubber instead of all plastic and plastic breaks easily.

I bought this for my OLED switch and the econtroller feels great! Looks oversized for the switch but it feels like the xbox or PS5 controller. Love how you can disconnect from the wired version to the switch flawlessly. The controls are responsive & the bottom programmble buttons are next level! Only wished it came in colors to match your switch. Overall a great buy and definitely one of the best controllers for the switch.

Works great for both the switch and switch 2. Can be used as handheld and wired while docked on the switch. The bulkier size definitely feels better than the original joycons on the switch. The long cord on the wired adapter is long and perfect to use with a headset.

I love these controllers. they are bigger and do you have more control as an adult. I also love all the features, including the turbo button and the customization. My only complaint is that I have no good way of transporting them because they don’t fit in my switch case. I just bought another pair of controllers that are seemed for breath of the wild tears of the Kingdom.

"We have two of them, and they work so well for our family. They are durable, and the controller is a lot easier for my children to hold while playing on the Nintendo Switch. It is also really nice for them to use when playing on the TV. We are very happy with this purchase!"

Hands down the best switch controller for 2D fighting games especially if you have larger hands. This controller also works with switch 2 when docked.

Much more comfortable than the official Nintendo Joycons, and when paired with the Switch attachments they're also arguably more comfortable than a pro controller. What's holding this back from 5 stars is the build quality isn't quite as good as the joycons or pro controller.

Arrived quickly, in great condition. Haven't tried it yet, but assuming it works, the bigger sized buttons is the reaaon I needed this item. Fits my hands much better than the lil bitty joycons. Considering it's the most expensive controller I found, it is upsetting there are no rumble, motion controls, or nfc scanning features though.

Solved hand-cramping problem while playing mobile

As an adult with average sized hands, playing the Switch undocked with standard joycons attached was causing my hands to cramp during longer play sessions (30min+). Attaching these Hori controllers instead of Nintendo's official joycons completely solved the hand cramping problem. There's no Amiibo or haptic functionality, but the massive increase in comfort and ergonomics is a welcome trade-off.

The controllers feel good in my hands, have some interesting extra features, and offer a massively improved D-pad. If you're looking for a full-sized gamepad controller, need extra joystick precision, and want better directional buttons, the Split Pad Pro is a great choice.Mar 3, 2023

My family really enjoys the convenience and comfort of the split pad pro. Feels more like a traditional console controller. For future development, it would be cool if the attachment were wireless. Two stars off for Best Buy not including an option to purchase a protection plan.

Pros: - Increased comfort for larger hands - Nice tactile buttons - Smooth joysticks - Programmable rear buttons - Grippy texture on the back of the controllers Cons: - Not wireless when disconnected from the switch - Cheap feeling plastic - Had trouble getting both controllers recognized when attached to the Switch These are definitely not worth their $80 price tag, really neither are the official joycons, but at least the official joycons are wireless when disconnected. This could easily be a 4 or 5 star product for a lower price or if the pad worked as a wireless controller when disconnected from the switch.
